I am painting our downstairs (well, I am having it painted). I am leaning towards Agreeable Gray (Sherwin Williams). I loved the Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter, but my cabinets are dark brown and I think the agreeable gray has more brown undertones in it.

Uhhhh, we used pink and a gray in DDs room and we loved the gray so much we painted the upstairs hallway the same color. I know it was Valspar but I don't remember the stinkin' name.
I realize this is absolutely no help to you. Sorry.

Oh someone told me a Valspar they loved. I can't remember the name either! I wonder if it is the same...

We got it at Lowes and they have a large selection of grays to chose from, maybe run there or look online if you can. It's not a really dark gray, more medium I'd guess.

I think as long as it leans towards a taupe color you should be fine. Pip? I am considering painting our house. First the bathroom before the Reno and then the girls new room. I like gray but I think it would look bad with our trim and carpet.
Ooh ooh, I have one for you! (Maybe). I painted the fireplace of my previous house in Metropolis by Benjamin Moore. It's my favorite gray of all time, and I love gray. It was a very warm gray, if that makes sense, so it went well with warm colours like brown. It was beautiful. www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/metropolis
I also did a sunroom in Chelsea Gray by Benjamin Moore, but it was really dark. I only did it because the room had so much natural light.

Ok, now I'm obsessed. I also had my halls of my previous house painted in Gray Owl (also Benjamin Moore. Can you tell I lived right down the street from a Benjamin Moore?) It was a nice all-over colour if you're doing all the walls the same. They have it paired with browns on the website swatch. www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/oc-52

Oh, that's what my friend (who was just on fixer upper!!) used in her old house!
I was going to say Revere Pewter! I love how it is light and can look either gray or beige. We did some grays in our house but it was super hard to find a shade. I think you really just have to try them in your own light.
Lol I was all ready to come in here and tease you about your silly question...
Apparently having a favorite gray paint is a thing. Carry on
In my defence, I'm crazy for painting in general and have a million colors in my house. But gray is the glue that holds them all together - important stuff!
I never imagined it was possible to have feelings for a paint colour, but when I saw BM Pashmina in a model recently, I just fell in love with it. It's a grey, but so warm, and has a perfect level of saturation...aaahhhh.

This made me LOL for real. I totally "have feelings for" BM Metropolis for similar. I still think about the fireplace I painted in my previous house and miss it to a weird degree.
I went to Benjamin Moore and asked for the truest grey they have that doesn't lean too green/blue/purple/anyothercolor, and they gave me covington grey. It's in our master bedroom and I love it.
