I went to bed late last night, and was kind of dreading not getting much sleep. Then the dog woke me up barking to go out an hour before my alarm was supposed to go off...
The appliance repair place called and they are coming to fix our washing machine today (it's been a week and a half since it broke), so I am at least excited about that!
Everyone at work is getting a cold, and I am so sniffly. I have a huge project I'm leading tomorrow, so I need to get through the next two days. And I'm hoping to convince my boss to let me work from home on Friday, both to try and get better, and so I'm not trying to get home Friday afternoon at the start of the huge storm that is predicted.
The other kid is now sick. She puked all night and has a fever. Last night she cried pitifully because she doesn't want to miss school. My poor little sick nerd.
Poor thing. My youngest was sick most of the night too and now my oldest is saying her stomach hurts, but not throw up hurt which does not make me feel better. Lol
I think we got this from my friend's daughter, but for her it was just diarrhea.
I had to leave work early yesterday to pick DD up from DC due to a fever. Took her to the pedi and they think she's just getting sick since she's snotty and not lethargic but I was told to keep an eye on her temp. She is a little warm this morning and MIL is watching her today. Hoping she feels better soon as she is supposed to go to DC tomorrow.
Even though she is sick she was still up for the day at 5am this morning. This girl does not like sleep whatsoever. Send coffee.
We finally got past an inspection. I guess third time was the charm. (4th really, but one of the houses already had one done.) The roof doesn't have that much life to it and needs a little repair but it looks like the owner might give us another credit. Not sure yet but our realtor said he had a good feel about it when he talked to the other realtor. We aren't out of the woods yet since we still need to submit our HOA application, do the appraisal and hope the loan goes through with no hiccups but I'm praying that this is going to be our house. If all goes well we can expect to move in the last week of February.
My mac battery isn't charging so I took it to the Genius Bar. It's 4 weeks out of warranty and they wouldn't do anything about it, so I left without having them fix my computer. Now that I've simmered down, I'm going to have to take it back in. I'm annoyed with apple and myself.
Poor DS is draining from his cold and there's just snot everywhere all the time. He hates it but gets so upset if you go near his nose. My poor dude.
I really need to get my ass in gear. Need to feed the chickens this morning, which is not part of my usual routine.

Sorry, not enough sleep leads to rambling.
Last Friday my oldest puked and then on Saturday the youngest only had diarrhea. This virus is weird and it sucks. Hope all of y'alls kids feel better soon!
I'm sick as a dog and going to work. The doctor said I shouldn't be contagious anymore today but I sure feel like ass. I'm just planning on giving them a case to work on and then hiding in my office until the next class, at which point I'll do the same thing. It seemed like a good idea yesterday

In sorry we just all went through this and it is so painful. (((hugs)))
I really need to learn my lesson about staying up too late. It's never worth it.
I'm so sick of the never ending sickness in our house during the winter. Over break B had 5ths, C had a stomach virus. Then they both got colds/coughs. Last week H & I both ended up with a stomach virus and both caught the cold junk after that.
Nothing like having technical difficulties (that were NOT my fault!) at 8am with 175 med students staring at you waiting for shit to work. I'm sweating now.
It snowed about 1-2 inches last night. Which made my 45 minute commute home last just over two hours.
This morning, I got ready for work and called the "Weather Advisory Line" for my office (they have a number we call to check on office delays or closings) - got the "all is normal" message. Hop in the car with G, drive slowly to Grandma's house to drop him off, and get to the office, only about 20 minutes later than usual.
Check my work email - a note from HR that they're having trouble with the Weather Line, and out of an abundance of caution, we'll have a delayed start with the office opening at 10am. Swell.
Hopefully some meetings get canceled/moved because of it!

I think my oldest is just getting diarrhea. She has had three loose BMs this morning. I definitely think it is from our friend. Hopefully, H and I will avoid it.

Do you use the boogie wipes? DS is much more tolerant of those, even when he's really sick. He's also now obsessed with blowing his nose, which works out well since he always seems to have a constantly-runny nose these days.

Jury duty today and the security line is insane. MH is flying out today for work and I really hope he is able to get home Friday night. Otherwise he will be gone through next week. Being snowed in alone with a toddler sounds miserable.
I'm online looking at snow blowers, lol. I'm not sure I want to be out shoveling 2 feet of snow while 20 weeks pregnant, and I feel bad making h do it all, considering he has a torn rotator cuff.
