DD1 came home yesterday. She is back to her old self (mostly) - a little bit quieter. We talked about her short term and long term plan to manage her anxiety and stressors. She will meet with a psychiatrist and a therapist today - and then I assume they will set up weekly meetings (or whatever the amount she needs). I thought she would have to go to an out patient program at the hospital that meets every day for a few weeks but the doctors at the hospital said she didn't need that. I did reach out to a few people after posting here, thank you for making me realize that people will be supportive. I was so afraid people would judge her - and I don't want that. She is such an awesome kid - college kid, works 2 jobs, volunteers at the fire house as an EMT, and going to the fire academy to further her EMT. I am encouraging her to drop one of her jobs and will be going over a budget with her. She can do it and this job is a retail job that causes her more stress than it should. We will see how that goes.
Anyway, thank you again for all the kind words and the support. It was/is a really hard thing to go through and I needed that help.
I'll continue to keep her (and you too) in my prayers. That does seem like an awful lot on her plate so I think it would be wise to see if she could let something go. Good luck to her and to you.
