I found out tonight they won't make anonymous deliveries. I mean, okay, if they made sex toys... but they deliver winter coats and button down shirts. Where is the darn ethical dilemma??
Companies can make anonymous deliveries? Like, do you mean the gift thing where it doesn't show the price? You want to send something to someone anonymously?
I have a co-worker in REALLY bad economic straits. Her husband can't walk because of medical conditions and she's legally blind. She needs a new winter coat (cue the violins) but can't really afford one. I'd like to buy her a new winter coat and have it arrive at the office from an anonymous donor. If I sent it, that would be WEIRD and AWKWARD.
They won't send it from *ANONYMOUS*.
I think that's strange. who cares what the card says?
Oooooooohhhhh I see. This wasn't a problem so much as a venue to brag about buying your coworker a coat.
Don't you think it might be sort of humiliating to have a coat anonymously delivered to her work place?? Like, "Hey lady! Your coat looks like shit! But maybe you didn't know that because you're blind. Put this one on!"
Why not buy an actual gift card and mail it to her home/leave it on her desk with a short note to buy herself a coat? That would give her the dignity and pleasure of selecting it.
