The local vietnamese place owners must have gotten a divorce. I walked into the "new" place that the wife owns now and she immediately knew my order: Dr Pepper, glass of water, vietnamese egg rolls, and shrimp and pork vermicelli. Yumm, I might have to eat vietnamese for supper but that other thread has got me craving sushi.
Tropical smoothie does half priced smoothies before 8. So H used to take DS there like - 4 times a week and they always got the same thing. He would call and they would pick up the phone and say - "We got it Mr Laz, see you in 10!"

Do they still do this?? I had no idea. I love tropical smoothie.
All the morning carhops at the Sonic by our old house knew me and my H, that we were married, our names, and more. I'd go there on my way to work and he would go on his way home (he used to work night shift.) Since we moved I go to a different Sonic where they know my order but not my name or anything.
One of the restaurants in the food court of my building sees me coming and gets my diet coke ready. Not ashamed! It's efficient - I always bring exact money and I'm back upstairs in a few minutes LOL.

There's a Harvey's in the parking lot of my office. I limit myself to every other week visits. At least 5 employees know my standard order. I'm away on maternity leave right now and stopped in for a visit to the office with the baby and they have me a free sandwich.
I used to go through the Steak N Shake drive thru on my way home from work when I was like, 18/19, every night for a milkshake. I went so much that I got the drive thru lady that worked that shift an Xmas gift. :S She upsized my shake every night and wouldn't let me pay.
In college there was a hole in the wall Mexican place that I went to all the time. One time I walked in by myself and the waiter said oh, your friends are in the back. So I went to the back and my friends were there - but not the ones I was supposed to be meeting. That was a sign I might have been there a little too often.
I used to frequent a small Indian place here while I was pregnant. Cravings!! I went back last month - after seven months. And the owner was all, did you bring the baby?? LOL!

I uses to work at a pizza place and even 15 years later I can still remember some of the regulars and their orders.
When I got hired at my current job 10 years ago, one of my coworkers thought I looked familiar. It turns out I used to take her pizza order often. She wasn't one of the ones I remembered though.

The guards at my office rotate, but my favorite one always greets me before I even roll down my window. "Miss Jen! Good morning!" He's so friendly. I am so not a morning person but he makes me smile.
When I worked downtown, the starbucks by my office knew me, but I don't go to any one location regularly enough now.
Every barista who worked the drive-through at the Starbucks I used to go to pretty much every morning knew me and my order, and I'm pretty sure I served as an informal academic adviser to one girl who was getting her degree in English Education.
DH goes to the same place for soup at lunchtime, I think daily, and has for about twenty years. There's always a long line and by the time he gets to the end, they have his order ready and hand it to him. Sometimes he tells me, "but today I really wanted the matzo ball soup!" Haha
Our favorite Chinese place knows my cell. Orders go like this.
*Ring ring*
"Hi KOKO."
"Hi!"
"You want your usual?"
"Yes please."
"Anything for H?"
"Nope, he's good."
"OK, ten minutes, bye!"
"Bye!"
Our Thai place does this with us. We order about every Friday. They even sent us a Christmas card this year and had us taste test when they wanted to change their Pad Thai recipe.
Whatever. Their food is delicious and I know we're not the only ones. One time we were waiting in line to pick up our order, and the owner handed the guy in front of us his order and said "Okay, see you next Friday!" The look on his face was so pitiful. Lol.
