R: it's raining again (which is really good, we need it!) so I'm cooking all day and making a nice dinner
Aw: DS is a quarter Korean and I've sort of let the second language thing slide, but the last few weeks my mom and I have been really trying to only speak to him in Korean. Today he initiated a conversation in Korean and didn't even realize he wasn't speaking English!
Aw2: I used my broiler and didn't burn my Brussels sprouts! - lately with my mom brain I've burnt so much stuff using the broiler.
R: It is so cold! I mean, northerners would laugh at my definition of cold but whatever.
V: I kind of hate DD's gymnastic class. There are 7 kids and half are really good and half are not. The coach spends all her time with the super beginners so my DD hasn't learned anything new in months. I think there is just too big of an age range. The best ones are of course the oldest ones. 3 and 5 year olds should not be in the same class. But, DD loves it and there is not a better time for us so we are stuck.
R: We're getting dumped on by Winter Storm Jonas right now. It started around midnight last night and we're up to around 10" with the possibility of 6-8 more. I know this is nothing for some of you, but we're so ill equipped to handle it. Almost everything is closed down and our county is in a state of emergency. We don't have enough plows to keep up and roads are horrible.
AW: DH's work is closed, so we're all snowed in together.
V: See my random. I hate snow. That's why I live in the South.
R: We have been out of school all week except Tuesday...at least my lesson plans are done for next week since I can use this weeks lessons.
Aw: I have girls night tonight. We are having a wine tasting party. It's in the neighborhood so even its snowing I can make it. AW: I found a cute little house to rent not far from work/school and am moving next week. It's very emotional but I am looking forward to being able to begin moving forward with life. I bought new bedding for myself today!
V: It is rainy and cold with a winter weather warning. The rain should turn to snow as temps drop. We had 2-3 inches Tuesday night which has caused school to be out the rest of the week. Now we are supposed to be getting more. I don't mind the snow most of the time but if it could wait until after next weekend when I am moved in to my own place that would be great.

That is exactly what Goliath did to us. Hopefully it isn't as bad for you guys and you aren't snowed in for nearly two weeks. Stay warm and safe!

R: we are going out to eat tonight bc I don't want my house messed up. I'm going to read a book and enjoy the clean quiet house. Aw: dh was home today and we tackled a massive amazing unit of projects. I would have loved to chill out, but man it feels good to see some of my counters and know the bathrooms are clean.

Starting with a vent! H said to the Inlaws that ds was asking when he could have pancakes with grandma and grandpa at the beach. Fil makes good pancakes and they live on the sand. Sooooo mil says they're busy but want to just swing by our house to visit instead of us going there. Oh and that she's looking forward to pancakes. Guys, I have to tidy my house now and make pancakes. Fml. How did this happen?! I suck at pancakes too.
R-had breakfast for lunch because salad sounded lame.
Aw-dropped my vacation induced bloat already-yay for jeans that don't feel like a vice lol.
R: It's just one of those great Friday's where I seemingly have my shit together, have been productive and the day is smooth. A nice ending to the week.
AW: DD1 is so excited for the Father/Daughter dance at her school tonight (yes, I know how some of you feel about this from TB). She picked out a restaurant and they are going to dinner before hand and then having fun with her dad and her friends at the dance (it's nice for DH to talk with the other dads in the class as well). My high school had a father/daughter dinner dance for all 4 years and to this day, those dances are some of my dad's favorite memories. I am glad that DH and DD get that opportunity too.
V1: We replaced our dishwasher last week and I am seriously questioning if it is working properly. I don't think it is rinsing the way it should, but I am not sure.
V2: The preschool program we had picked for DD2 to start in the fall is no longer offering a 3's class, just 4's. I am frustrated as it is a week out from the open house/registration and now I have been scrambling all week to do research for plan b. This is the time when most of the school begin registration and spots can fill up quickly. I am just annoyed and disappointed for a few different reasons.

AW: I was given an upper level task from my online writing work. I am super pumped bc I was contemplating asking for a raise, but didn't really have an opening to have that conversation, and now I do. R: My son (3) told me that adults help the babies get in the bellies. V: We are overbooked this weekend, and every other weekend for the next month.
ashb62 , speaking as someone from MN, 10-18 inches all at once is something, even for us!
It's crazy! We hardly ever get snow and never more than a few inches. We ended up with 12" today and there's another storm system moving through tonight. The worst part is that there are so many winding mountain roads here and people have no clue how to drive in the snow. So many accidents...
Thanks! Once I stop raging, I will see if I have the ingredients lol. My Inlaws are actually cool I just hate that h wants to make plans but then I get stuck doing the work. Ughhh.
R: I know that this might come back and bite me, but I'm jealous of everyone that is getting snow. We have a couple inches, but I want a foot and a half. I love ski dooing, and we need more snow. R#2: my dog is snoring in the other room. How can something so small make such a racket? AW: took my horse out for a ride today. He hasn't been touched since I broke my leg riding him 5 months ago, I was very nervous, but he was a gentle giant. I couldn't stop smiling. V: when will my kids get the fact that a 5:30 wake up time is not acceptable on the weekend.
R: Our snow is all melting today and I couldn't be happier! I actually got stuck at the bottom of the driveway yesterday and had to manoeuvre my way out. It took so long that DS was late for preschool for the first time. So I'm ready to say goodbye to snow.
AW: The kids and I met a friend at an indoor play place today and it was really fun. I love being breezy about DD's nap, it's way more fun!
V: DS, who is 4 and never pooped his pants when he was potty training, suddenly pooped his pants today. And he didn't tell me until he'd walked all over the house. And somehow it managed to get out of his underwear and fall down his pant leg. Seriously. I found a turd in the hall and two more on the carpet in his room. It's a shitstorm over here! I can't disinfect enough.

@leftie22 that's terrible! My dd2 was diaperless the other day (thanks dh) and I couldn't figure out why she was shrieking and pointing to the kitchen. I figured out that she'd left two piles of poo on the floor and was very concerned/horrified that it had happened. It was actually hilarious given her reaction, but yeah, gross on the floor!!

Oh no!!
The funny thing is that DS was so breezy about it, like "Oh yeah, did I mention that crap fell out of my pants a while back?" I guess he was embarrassed. I tried not to sound upset, but in my shock I kept asking him "So it just fell out of your pants? Where were you? It's on your carpet? Where else?" After a while I think he found my surprise amusing. I really hope I don't find any more surprises!
On the bright side, it came out easily, and then I disinfected and poured baking soda all over the carpet. Seems to have done the trick!
