It's 1 am here and I am sitting in the ER with DS waiting to be see for suspected croup. Anyone wanna keep me company?
FTR, I'm regretting my choice to choose the close ER over the children's ER...someone sitting near us reeks of pot.
Hows the munchkin this morning?
Poor W was restless for hours, bit finally settled down around 4
That's about the time we settled in. Mornings like this I seriously miss coffee.
He's fine. He sounded terrible when he woke up at 11 -barky cough (I have never heard a cough like that), rattling breathing, couldn't talk because he would just start rattling and coughing, fever - so the advice nurse told us to take him in. But, once he'd been up and outside, he perked up a little and no longer sounded as scary. So, he does have croup, but he did not need to be treated. So, you know, middle of the ER field trip was just for funsies. Next time, though, I will not be swayed by proximity, and we'll go to the children's ER. Probably fewer drunks.
Oh A, I hope he is feeling better soon! Poor little guy.
Thanks! How was the father-daughter dance? They looked adorable!
Thank you! They are pretty sweet together. They had a great time! I was looking at their photo this year versus kindergarten a couple of years ago and DD looks so grown up. She needs to stop that asap. I think you will get strange people no matter the hospital. We took DD2 to the children's hospital you are talking about when she was 9 days old for an ultrasound. It was a Friday at 2pm and there were some characters in the waiting room.
