I used to have a stomach of steel--nothing ever upset my stomach. In the last year my stomach has been so upset that I've actually thrown up--this has happened 3 separate times. In the last 2 months or so it seems like I have an upset stomach on a regular basis and not even Tums really offers any relief. Sometimes I realize I've eaten something unhealthy (fried/greasy) but not always.
Last night I woke up at midnight and my stomach hurt horribly and it felt like my kidneys were bricks and just ached. I took a dose of Pepto and laid there thinking I was doing to die for the next 2 hours. Finally I got up to walk around and ended up running to the bathroom to puke my guts out.
Could a kidney infection cause that, or maybe something to do with my c-section (though that was 17 mo ago and I haven't had any other issues), or something else? I'm going to call my Dr in a little while but wondered if anyone else experienced something like this.

So this story is almost me...and I'm thinking for me it's acid reflux/indigestion but there are so many things to rule out including hernias, gallbladder, diverticultitis that I think it's time for a check up
It could be gallbladder but I've vomited just from acid reflux before. Gas buildup can be horrible. It could be an ulcer. Either way, you should see a doctor.
Oh no...I just took a quiz on gallbladder attacks and answered yes to like every question. Crap.
ETA: Good grief...these are the foods it says to avoid to prevent an attack: eggs, pork, gluten, onion, fowl, milk, cheese, butter and other dairy, coffee, grapefruit, oranges, corn, beans and nuts, alcohol, saturated fats, hydrogenated oils and partially hydrogenated oils
Yesterday I had eggs, meatballs with tons of onions, grapefruit juice, milk, string cheese and corn.
You need to see a doc. So many GI symptoms mimic each other. Could be reflux. Could be gallbladder. Could be IBS. Could be a food sensitivity. Could be exacerbated by anxiety.
Try drinking peppermint tea. It helps with INS/anxiety but makes reflux worse. So that could give you some clue.
