I'm surprised by the number of grown men currently working in my bathroom. I wouldn't have guessed there was room.
Newborns will sleep through anything, including but not limited to the ripping out of ceramic tile and toilets in the room right above them.
I signed my oldest up for preschool without touring the actual program. My options were limited and this one always has waitlists. I'm using that as my final deciding criteria. We will tour on Thursday just in case.
There is too much food in this house and still nothing I really want to eat.
I remember when we had just moved into this house (DS was 9mo) and hired contractors to finish the basement. Jackhammers, saws, drills, etc, all day long. I was so concerned about his naps, but he always slept through everything!
What's on my mind? Thomas cakes. Seriously, I think I might sketch out my design...
Oh, and lighting. We need to select all of the lighting for our entire new house, and man, it's going to be challenging.

On my mind? Finding care for my children. I teach a class Thursday afternoons, so DD was getting picked up and going home with a friend for the 1.5 hours I am at class after school. Our friend's work schedule changed, so now they can't picker her up. It was perfect too, because I pick up their daughter MTW, and walk her across the street to her babysitter's house, so it was an even Steven exchange - FREE. Now I could either try to piecemeal playdates every week, or will probably end up hiring someone to watch her. But I have to figure all this out by Thursday.
Also, I am going to my Quilt Guild retreat in the spring, and need to figure out who will watch DS the Friday that I am gone, or whether or not DH can take it off of work.
Aaaand, our Italy trip is now going to be in May, not July, which seriously complicates childcare for those ten days.
It just feels like a lot of ,moving pieces to try and coordinate and it is making my head hurt.

My oldest was up at 2am with a 103 fever. I called the nurse line and they wanted me to bring him in. Poor kid has the "first confirmed case of the flu" at his doctor's office.
I finally got him to eat something that's not a Popsicle.
Watching Secret of the Wings and discussing warm and cold fairies.
I caught a cold from the kids and am feeling miserable. And of course they're refusing to entertain themselves today so I can lie down for 10 minutes. I just want to sleep.
