Holy smokes, we have trouble in our area with having any cost more than like $25-35pp for reunions. I know I'm not in an affluent area and maybe you are, but that seems a bit over the top!!

My mom's 30th reunion was on a cruise. It was a 3 day to the Bahamas and not completely ridiculous because she went to HS in Orlando so less than an hour from Port Canaveral.
Anyway, she went. And she brought me and my sister, and at the last minute my sister's friend. It was a shit show and my 19 year old sister and her friend got wasted in Nassau and then my sister showed up to the formal dinner that night with her dress on sideways and one of her breasts just basically out. All night. At my mom's 30th high school reunion. Good times.

That sounds terrible. Also I just realized im only 6 years out from mine and that sounds horrible, too. Lol (but I graduated with over 500 other people... Slim chance of a cruise suggestion thankfully!)
I had my 20th reunion a few months ago. We were a graduating class of 28 and 5 of us managed to get our act together for dinner. There were more former faculty than students with us, lol.
I feel like Facebook has rendered reunions obsolete. There's no point anymore.
Yeah, it was by no means an affluent school. It was an urban downtown school in a rough neighborhood. And by rough, I mean that the Wendy's that we all ditched lunch to drive through to was regularly held up at gunpoint. The school itself was a good school with strong programs and great teachers, but definitely not affluent.
oh, and the nearly $400 price tag doesn't include airfair. From Ohio.
NOPE!
This makes the suggestion of a cruise even more out of left field.
The only thing that could improve this situation is if Vitamin C was the onboard entertainment to sing the "graduation song"
Yeah but that was released in 2000. We are talking class of '96.
Actually '97. The organizer wanted to give us plenty of time to save the date. LOL.
Our class/prom theme song was nearly Booty Call, since it came out that year. Unfortunately our advisor put her foot down. To think I was *thisclose* to having a hurricane glass with "Booty Call, a Night To Remember" emblazoned upon it as a prom favor! I probably would have actually kept it!

I'm missing out on my 25th university one, which is a huge one that I wanted to go to, because it would cost us about £3,000 including flights, hotel and the actual reunion. I couldn't justify that much money for 3 nights (especially as we have so many other expenses in the next 6 months).
