I just read her latest in the Fever series, Feverborn, and I came across this whole story. What do you all think about this whole thing? (Go to the link for screen shots of the FB comments by Moning originally and then her apology; I can't get them to paste for some reason.)
The bottom line is: Moning defended Gigante and said she would use him again for future books, because she knew all the facts, and to trust her, but he wasn't guilty of what the media was saying he was guilty of. She used those words: trust me, I wouldn't defend a sexual predator; he's not. A couple days later, after a ton of backlash both against her and against those who posted against her, she then posted this lame ass apology:
I hate this type of passive-voice apology. "A post went up?" No - you posted. Even if it were indeed her admins who made those posts, take responsibility for them - they're under your damn name after all.
