Generally, we eat around 6:30 because that's when DH gets home. But I'll often feed the kids a pre-dinner around 5:30. And if DH will not be home, we eat at 5:30.
I voted 6-7 (this is during the week). Most nights DH gets home pretty close to 6 and we eat immediately. One night a week we eat at 6:30 because of dance. On the weekends, I try to have us eat closer to 5:30 because that is the time the kids seem to be ready. I wish we could eat at 5:30 all week long, but I would rather wait another 30 minutes to eat as a family.
If we don't have anything happening (kids activities) I shoot for 6 but depending on what happens it could be 4:45-5 or 6:30 or 7 because of kids stuff

DD has dance once a week and on those nights it's usually closer to 7. And it's usually pizza lol

We get home between 5:30 and 6, usually closer to six. So if we have leftovers, dinner is usually at 6, and if we have to cook, closer to 7. Which is tough, because bedtime is 8.
that assumes there is no T-ball or soccer that night. On sports nights, the kids get a snack before practice and dinner after. I hate that the 3&4 year old team has 7pm games.

That is so late for little kid games. Idk why organizers do that. Our ideal bedtime is 7. It doesn't always work out but everyone is so much happier when it does.
For soccer pictures last year dd's team was scheduled at 8pm. (She was 3) we didn't get started until 830 bc photographer was running behind. The team after us was the same age bracket. And started after 9. Hours of bawling kids. So.dumb.

It totally varies. DH gets home around 7:30, so he doesn't eat with us. If the kids have activities their dinners are staggered and I'll feed Drew while the girls are at karate or Julia's at dance then whoever had the activity eats after. I miss eating as a family, but H gets home too late for the kids and the girls activities go too late for Drew.
It varies each night depending on the kids activities. If we are home, we usually eat around 6. Other nights, DS and I eat without DD and she eats when she is finished with cheer practice which is 5-7:30 2 nights a week.
