What happened?

It looks like it, no idea why? I just saw her post in CE&P a few minutes ago and now she's deactivated.

I saw that post as well and was definitely confused.

So someone in one of the threads said that Smo has been nothing but kind on the board but even if she wasn't she didn't deserve to be targeted by a racist (paraphrasing). I believe hanny was trying to reiterate that but did so in a confusing way.

I don't want to speak for her though and would like to know why she left. Now is not s good time for that. I will reach out on FB.

I wanted to leave last week but I didn't know how to deactivate until today. Because I am terrible with technology and I never thought to switch to desktop mode. Lol.
Last week, someone basically called me stupid and it bothered me outside of GBCN and interrupted my parenting and life and I was mad at myself.
I only can back this week due to a fashion crisis. Otherwise, I would have just kept lurking a bit.
I definitely have nothing to do with anything malicious. I have zero friends from GBCN in real life. I have met 4 people for about an hour once.
Anyway, I needed to step away. This definitely pushed me. And if people want to say stuff about me - that's fine.
Maybe I will comeback to cut and paste this. Or you can.
Will miss some of you

I don't know buy I wonder if this was a straw that broke the camel's back situation. I know it's happened a few times before when she explained herself poorly. A number of people have been surprisingly mean to her over the years.

This makes me sad. She seemed to truly have a kind heart and I admired that she didn't allow the boards to change who she was. it seemed like people had given her a hard time for quite awhile.

Yep. I was just coming in to say just this. She's been the target of a select few for years. Senselessly. Frankly, I'm surprised she stuck around as long as she did. I do hope we will see her back though.

I think she got in a discussion about her husband thinking of himself as white and culturally Iranian? Someone said she was stupid for not recognizing or acknowledging him as not white

Yes, after an extremely non-apologetic apology in one of the race threads. She mentioned that she is going through some other stuff as well (which obviously does not excuse her behavior).
