QOTD: what is your favourite shop (any sort) in your current country?
I am trying to fight a cold today that's probably come with me being a bit run down from lack of sleep. Boo. I also have my very first mammogram, which I'm not excited about, one bit. Other than that, just running around getting some food and house decorating items as our renovation is almost done on house number 1.
QOTD: I would say Marks & Spencer as I can get good food items as well as affordable clothing & other stuff.

Good Evening! I'm okay if a bit sore.
I had my first ballet class last night. WOW! That's a workout and my legs (mainly thighs) are screaming at me today. It was a good class, and I feel mostly welcome. The students are great, the teacher is indifferent. It's been 30 years since I've had a ballet class and I honestly forgot a lot of the steps and just saying "Up, Up, Up...Front, Back, Front, Swish" is not helpful. Also, I'm the curviest person in a class of stick-straight waif-like graceful dancers so my center of gravity is different. And when the teachers says to make a straight line, it's not going to work; I don't bend like that. I'm not straight. I can't "use my abdominals" to suck in my JJ boobs, SorryNotSorry. I'm going to keep going because it's an exercise I'll do, but it really is only the best option because tap isn't available. /complaint
Today was supposed to be grocery shopping day, but (1) it was pouring so walking to/from would have been difficult and (2) I'm so very sore from the ballet class. We did shopping after DH got home and then made dinner (stir fried vegetables over ramen noodles and frozen spring rolls).
QOTD: I can spend hours in a bookstore if you let me. And I can happily wander the aisles all afternoon in an office-supply/stationery store. But otherwise I'm not really a shopper. The shop I go to most is the grocery, but I wouldn't say it's my favorite.
The Brazilian Boy Toy is having his shipment delivered today. *stress, deep breath, stress* So far, we have determined that his bed is a reasonable amount bigger than mine was (how was this not established before?) and the movers apparently put a noticeably large scratch through the paint on the wall above the headboard. I guess it's a sign that I should finally get around to painting that room, but I had actually come to terms with the bright color and had even had a photo canvas printed to compliment it.
...Now that I look again at the photo he sent (attached), based on the width of the headboard maybe it's not so big. He should have added a banana for scale.
Oh, and yes, I went to work and left him to deal with the movers. He's the one moving, so he's the one who gets a day off. I don't want to take a vacation day to be all stressed watching my apartment fill with boxes!!!
QOTD: I like the sporting goods stores here, because they focus mainly on winter sports, hiking, and back-country camping. I like to browse through all the high-end cold-weather and hiking clothes (Arcteryx jackets, huge varieties of wool base layers, moisture-wicking everything, etc) and cool camping equipment (ultra-lightweight tents, compression packs, trekking meals, etc).
I won't bore you all with the monotony of my life right now..
QOTD: When we lived in London, I loved a little wine shop on Lamb's Conduit called the 'Albion Wine Store'. Here where my parents live there's a really nice specialty market called The Red Barn that has all sorts of goodies. Hm, clearly my favourite shops are food shops.
