My DS turned 3 yesterday. We had a small party for him on Saturday (just my brother and his family). DS had a blast; he loves playing with his cousins. Only bummer was when they had to leave at the end of the day he cried something awful - obviously he didn't want the party to end. And my Thomas cake version 2.0 turned out pretty well (I posted a pic in my cake thread). Thanks for asking!
DD1 turned 8 this past weekend! It has seriously been the fastest 8 years of my life. She is such a sweetheart and we are so proud of the person she is becoming. We had a family day on her actual birthday and then are having people over this weekend for more birthday fun!
DD turned 7 on the 23rd. We had a family party early in the month for her and also DD3, who turned one. We did a big dinner and it was a ton of work but all turned out great. On her actual bday, we had cake again and went to Noodles & Co. (her pick for the last several bdays!).
Her friend party was last weekend at the bounce place. As I posted, I was SO GLAD we weren't having the party at our house! It ended up being way too busy of a time and we were thrilled to pay the bounce place. Also the kids were NUTS and there was chocolate cake all over the floor, so it was a good "note to self" for next time. I'd do one at our house, but with a smaller group. Or outside, but that would have to be a half-birthday. Can't do an outdoor party here in January. DD had a great time and so did her siblings (they came, too).
My birthday was last week and DH & I had a dinner out (yay!) and I am super excited about my new scooter, so I can scoot with the kids.
DH's bday is Saturday and we're spending it at our niece's 3rd bday party. Lots of birthdays over here.
Also printed out a few more logos and flames and glued them to poster board and hung them around the room. I used blue and orange table cloths and stuck a new hot wheels car on the cake. I also took flames printed on blue back ground and glued them to toothpicks and stuck them in the cake
