WTH is wrong with people. Was followed this AM by an aggressive drive on I5 SB. Called 911. He followed me OFF the freeway practically to my office. I was 30 seconds from turning around an going to the police station.
Hope everyone's Friday started off better than mine.
TGIF! I finally found a Super Bowl party to attend on Sunday, as our usual hosts are not hosting one this year. But staying home in my PJs and ordering take-out was tempting
@aellasbeth - I hope everything ended up being ok. People are crazy.
I'm ready for the weekend. I can't believe I only have 5 more work days in my current position, not including today. There is too much to do. I am so excited for my new position.
MiMi's proofs for pics from picture day were in her folder this morning. Her hair is hilarious. @ksta - Here you go.
minion, I am safely at work for right now. Part of me is still worried about my car... but IDK. Maybe it was just someone trying to bluff. I will feel better after the weekend has passed.
I can't seem to juggle the adulting I need to do right now. After a long day of work, I got home and then while we tried to decide what to do for dinner that didn't require us to actually cook, I emptied the dishwasher and then collected the nasty pile of dishes that were about the house and got if half reloaded. Then I dinked on the computer talking to friends for a bit and signed up for a free trial on Lynda.com. When H got back with takeout (Thai veggies, I was craving veggies), I then sat and started watching through the Powerpoint tutorial (boooooring but now I'm not afraid of it) until my brain screamed it was tired. I still have a lot more of the tutorial left (2 hours?) and then some additional tutorials to watch plus converting one of my projects from last summer's class in to it for practice and to get on my portfolio site. PLUS I have to do my ACTUAL homework for class on Monday! Still don't know if I'll even get an interview but I'll need the PPt as it's now quite an integral part of a lot of Graphics jobs nowadays. If it weren't for this job i just applied for, I'd at least hold off until my current class is done. Oh..laundry? My pigsty needing cleaning of a house? Pfffft I also need to make time to contact a lawyer to start the process of figuring out the settlement thing.
Payday, thank GOD! I'm tired and randomly a little sad this morning. minion Do we get to see crazy hair? I need the smile
So glad it's Friday!! Though, struggling to stay focused today! Girls night out tonight at a jazz place. Should be fun! I scored at Macy's last night. Got a taupe fake leather jacket for $23 and a pair of taupe wedge booties for $20.
Hi all. I am just slowing moving through this morning. I have a handful of things I should get done before I need to leave but my motivation is just not here at the moment.
J's first speech therapy is today. I am excited to work on this with her and get past the screeching she has started taking to. My ears need some peace. Thats about it. I was hoping to get the fence fixed and move on from it this weekend but i"m not sure the weather is going to cooperate. Lame.

Pretty sure that I didn't get the job. The interview went well and I had a good gut feeling but they were supposed to call me yesterday or today and let me know if I got it. No call yesterday and I feel like the odds drop today. Grrrr. Will keep you updated.
Not much else happening for me, kids, horses, US soccer game to watch tonight. That's pretty much it.

You would be surprised. Keep hope for today! If after today nothing, we can be sure!!

Sent notice in to the agency this morning and then talked to the girl that I literally report to here (not who I technically report to). She seems to think I might get a counter here to stay. Not sure about that, and the thought never crossed my mind that it might happen, so I'd have something to think about for sure if they did.
Glad it's Friday. Looking forward to the weekend. I'm hoping to sleep in one day! Ahhh...sweet rest!
Tman has basketball practice tonight.
That's it. Oh, and I got our taxes filed this morning so now we can pay off the car! Booyah!

Happy Friday! DD wasn't feeling great this morning but I sent her to school after taking some tylenol since she didn't have a fever. If she calls me, I will go and get her.
Tonight I need to return some pants from Macy's - they came with stitches out of the butt! I have a booty, but not one big enough to tear a seam. Someone clearly tried them on and they were too small. Good thing I didn't wear them yet.
We're going to din tonight and then DD has a soccer game tomorrow and I'm getting my botox touched up and then have an appt at the Apple store for my phone that's overheating and has a short battery life.
Update - Just got an email to schedule a phone screening interview for next week!! Think I'll try for after PT when I usually hit SBUX before heading in to work.

H and I are going to the Anderson School on Saturday night. Jr is staying with a sitter. We haven't had more than a few hours alone together since the summer, looking forward to this.
Monday was my first official day of my "funemployment" adventure. Last Friday was my last day at my job. It was a really hostile work environment and I didn't realize how much it was impacting me. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off me. Even J has noticed a difference. It's been great being home and getting things done during the week when it's not so busy. Plus every night this week I've made dinner, and not just a quick 20 minute heat up! I'm applying for jobs but also enjoying my time off.
Last month my doctor ran some more tests for my blood sugar levels. Turns out I'm not Type 2 diabetic, I'm actually Type 1. Normally T1 is for children but there are a growing number of people that get it in adulthood. It's called LADA or latent autoimmune diabetes in adults. I've started on insulin and can't believe how much that has impacted me. My numbers are leveling out and I feel already a lot better. It's been a huge adjustment in such a short time but I've been managing.
So that's what's up with me. If anyone knows of any HR positions available, let me know.
kwpnjumper55 hopefully the right job will come along soon, I haven't gotten past the screening stage for like the last 8 jobs I've applied too, bleh.
LL that is a lot of crap you have to deal with sorry, you may need a drink after all that.
Congrats @ksta !
@aellasbeth , that is suuper sketch I am glad you are doing ok though.
madDawg228 I always vote for staying home in my PJs... mostly because I hate putting on a bra. It seems like so much work.
I feel asleep eating a warhead, it got stuck to my shirt and I woke up to the dog licking it
I also started watching the (un)dateables on youtube, and I love it. It is such an interesting series, and it is sweet when they find someone that they click with. It is a lot about people with learning disabilities or other challenges and dating agencies that work with them to find a match.
Other than that I am just hanging out at work... all alone

My work (downtown Seattle) is hiring a campus recruiter, let me know if you're interested and I can PM you the posting.
