I set up a physical appointment with my doctor but the earliest they had available was three months from now. I feel like that is a long time to wait to get a physical? Any experiences with long wait times?
I would actually say that's about the standard wait time with my doc. I need to remember to book my physical a few months before it's due. I've only had an issue once, when I was going to run out of BC before my appointment, and she was able to phone in a refill at the pharmacy for me in the meantime.
It's usually a month ish out that does seem long. I would ask them to call you if they have any cancellations and also see if they can order your labs beforehand so your doctor can have results at the time of the physical.
That sounds about right for my office unfortunately. All of a sudden it's difficult to get an appointment. And same day ones are non existent now. They only hold one now and if you don't call at 8 am when they open you don't get it.
When I injured my knee at thanksgiving I called for an appointment and they told me the earliest one they had was 7 weeks away.
I've about had it with them and if I can find a new specialist I like to manage my chronic condition I'm leaving them.

I see a doctor in a larger practice. If you're not picky you can see any doctor within a few weeks time. If you want to wait for a particular doctor you have a two month wait. They also have a guarantee you can see a provider same day 365 days a year as long as you're willing to drive a bit.
Thanks all. I'm going to call another office to see if I can get an appointment in the next few weeks or even a month out. I get too anxious waiting for appointments even if nothing is wrong!.

I called today and the first day we could agree on was in May! But to be fair, I can only do mornings 3 days/week. The first date she gave me was the end of March.
Sounds about right here. It would have been a few months for either my OB or a general practioner, for a physical. For "sick" visits or issues they have appointments sooner.
