R: I had my older girls sleep together in the nursery for nap time so I could work on painting their room. So far I've trimmed exactly half of two walls. At this point i might finish before they go to high school. Aw: I'd like a generosity award. I told dh he can go skiing in CO for 5 days with some friends next week. Now he's seeing if he can get the time off work. Two years ago they were going about 3 weeks after our daughter was born and I said hell no. I guess 6 weeks is easier to palate? (My semi hidden agenda is that I WILL be going on girls weekend next spring and he will figure out how to handle all three while I am gone and we will find the cash for me to go. I don't want to hear one word about how he has t had a vacation and I keep going on girls weekends - which is totally true.) V: nothing at the moment. I'm sure I'll have something later. Eta: the alternative to my aw is that I'm insane of course. Please send wine.

dizzycooks - Didn't you just have that baby?? How are making adorable valentines treats for neighbors, painting rooms, and sending your husband off for five days?? I can't even get my laundry done, and I have no tiny babies and one in school full time. Send your magic potion this way, please. ;-)
R: My ass hurts. I finally made it back to Zumba on Wednesday. I forgot that the teacher is this adorable ball of perky blond energy...who wants to kill us all.
R2: I went to a neighborhood meeting last night because a friend invited me, the issue at hand sort of tangentially affects us, and I needed a night out of my house. I somehow volunteered to create and admin the Facebook page for said issue. Oops.
AW: Plane tickets to Italy are booked, hotel in Rome is booked, and our apartment in Cortona is booked. And, because we ended up downgrading from the house we originally purchased the stay at, the management company is arranging a cooking lesson in our home - they provide everything, and we learn to cook and eat a yummy, authentic Italian dinner.
R3: What the hell do I wear for 10 days in Italy?? Help!!
V: Not a whole lot. DS won't nap and that stinks, but that's what doc mcstuffins is for, right?
R: Last night was preschool sign-ups for DD2. Registration started at 7pm. DH was there at 6:48 and was 25th in line. Sometimes I feel like parenting is a competitive sport.
AW: A few friends and I are going away for the weekend in a couple of weeks and I am so excited! They are a fun group and the change of scenery will be good for me.
V: I feel like the laundry is multiplying. Make it stop.
mamaalysson, when are you going to be in Italy? We were in Venice and Rome a few years ago at the beginning of May and it was hot, like t-shirts and shorts/skirt, blast the A/C 24/7 hot.
RV: So DS1 stayed home sick Monday and Tuesday. He was fine Wednesday and yesterday...and then the school nurse called today. I had to pick him up early and take him to the doctor where we found out he has an ear infection. He told me on the way to the doctor that his ear was hurting before school but he forgot to tell me. ::facepalm::

End of May/beginning of June. Last time I was there it was the later half of June, and I remember it being hot too. I'm thinking skirts, with sleeveless tops and a couple of lightweight cardis. And comfy ballet flats...anyone have any to recommend? I've been eyeing Tieks...anyone wear those? Are they as comfortable as they say they are?

Yep, it should be hot then, I think your wardrobe will be fine. No experience with Tieks, but you'll definitrely need good comfy shoes for walking. I think I alternated between ballet flats (just cheapos from Payless) and my Teva sport sandals.

R: I love coffee more than I think is normal. AW: I finally found a pair of jeans that don't look terrible! V: My lovely DD has been waking up a ton at night this week. As a result, I am overtired and pissy.
