I'm hoping they are okay. It's already quite sunny, at 7:45 am.
I was thinking the same thing. It was a warmer, sunny/cloudless day when I ran it (our east coast crew felt great, because low humidity!), but I remember the medics being fairly busy that day. Hang in there, girls! You've got this!!
I ran in 2013 also. Today was definitely warmer, but that was a warm one also. Hoping it cools down for LA next weekend!
Yeah, sorry nabum. I just meant warmer in general for that time of year -- not warmer than yesterday. If I remember correctly, it only got up to the upper 60s-lower 70s for that one, and there were STILL people with the medics all over the place. With highs in the 80s, you guys had to have felt like you were baking on PCH.
nabum did you happen to see Matt Damon? He finished the half in 1:58 and waited for his wife at the finish. She finished in 1:10 so you would have walked right passed him!

Yes that was us. Thanks, he enjoyed handing them out and especially enjoyed eating them!
OMG, Otter Pops are the shit! Your family is such good people! A stranger handed me one, on the sunny beach strand/ Belmont Shores? portion of the Long Beach Half. I swear I would've wound up with a DNF if not for that Orange Otter Pop!
I've run the LB full twice, and that portion is true misery.
We're headed to LA to hand them out again, around mile 22.
When I ran San Diego, someone was handing out otter pops in the park area of Mission Bay, right before they sent us out onto the vast island of death that is Fiesta Island. Otter pops are amazing! You must be eveyone's favorite spectator!
