Hey everyone I am reintroducing myself, although I don't think I ever really introduced myself on TN. I followed you guys to this board but I just read the posts.
We just moved to GA and as I have no friends or family, my H suggested I get involved in politics, since I talk about this board a ton. I am registered R but I think I am more of an independent at this point in my life. I just cannot deal with the far-right. Maybe if I get more involved I can help move the party back to the center and kick the social agenda to the curb.
I did attend a town hall meeting with Senator Isakon. It was interesting and I hope to do more of these events. Does anyone in GA or elsewhere have some good sources for becoming more familiar with GA politics?
Feel free to ask my anything. I do like this board as it gives me items to think about.

Welcome! Always love seeing more R's on here!
I'm like you - registered GOP but really more of a libertarian I suppose. There are not many (any left?) true social con's on this board that i can think of - most of us are socially more liberal than the far right GOP
