Mil took W overnight last night so he can practice for when the baby is born. We went out for a nice dinner and then came home and watched TV. I think MH would have liked to have gone to a bar but I nixed that....I don't want to sit and watch him drink all night. Then we both slept in this morning. Wild and crazy over here!
I've decided that we are going out of town for the kids' birthday celebration. Sorry kids, I'm celebrating your birthdays on the same weekend. Maybe I'll stop doing double parties when they start complaining.
I feel sick over how much money the man lost last night at the black jack table. He has won all his money back all the other times we've played, but not last night.
But I still love you Vegas:)
Mean while, I didn't pack enough workout clothes. I only have stuff to workout once more and can't decide if I should go now because I'm up and feeling good, or wait for tomorrow (very likely I won't feel as good).
We went to a play date yesterday and there were 2 other boys Henry's age. They were both so quiet and normal size. Then you have H, the giant constantly squawking/screeching child.
My client is sick she texted me last night saying she might cancel but wanted to see how he was doing in the morning. I wish she would of just canceled officially last night then I could of slept in!
It's going to be almost 80 today and in low 80s over next few days. So we're going to the pool today. I need to see if A's swimsuit fits still. I should of bought ahead more 2t/3ts.
We are meeting a potential new sitter today. She's retired and just watches her 2 yo granddaughter right now. We will likely still keep our other sitter for the days when a baby sitter isn't totally essential, and as a back up in case the new sitter is unavailable, but I need more reliability than our current primary sitter can offer (i feel awful saying that given her current circumstances, but it's true).
This week, Abby's class had a canned food drive. Dh let Abby take in a few cans and told her she wasn't allowed to take in more.
Last night, we discovered she had taken almost every can out of our pantry. Over the last few days, she's smuggled 19 cans (some of which were 20 ounce cans) to school in her backpack.
Tired. So tired. Why do kids wake up so early on vacation?
Off to the aquarium this morning! They've never been to one so they're excited (as am I, they're going to love it). Then lunch with a college friend I haven't seen in years and dinner out tonight. Having a lovely visit aside from not enough sleep!
No more puking since yesterday? Hope you have a nice visit!
Well nevermind. Grandma took a part time job a s won't be watching our kids. I'm irritated as hell because why did you bother contacting us if you were applying for work elsewhere.
katfco, I'm sorry, but I'm loling at Abby's smuggling operation.
G's barky croup has morphed into a snotty, wet cough so we are staying in today. Luckily for me, he's been playing happily unless his tinker toys won't cooperate or his nose situation gets out of control.
Poor may cried last night because she said she needs more special time with just mommy because she loves me more than anything. Sob. I am going to take her to trader joes just the two of us while my mom watches the baby. I am going to try and do something alone with her once a week.

I just had to send my mil an email to address something that's becoming a problem. Fil always tells Christian, "I'm going to slap you in the face". He says it in a playful way when they are playing around. Christian is constantly telling me he is going to slap me in the face and he ends up getting in trouble. It's not something I want him to say because it's not very nice. Once he he said it to me at the grocery store and this lady heard him. Its just hard to get onto him for something his grandfather says to him. The email probably sounded bitchy but I have to put a stop to it if she wants him to continue visiting her house.
I feel so lucky to have such awesome parents and in laws! My mom and MIL are currently painting Sydney's new room. My dad is installing a new ceiling fan and doing new wiring for a chandelier. FIL took Sydney to Home Depot for the kids class to keep her out of our hair and will come home to help put new furniture together. They all offered to help and it is so nice! DH just moved all of her playroom stuff upstairs to our bonus room, so I am organizing up here now. I can't imagine doing all of this work on our own!

I would have been more amused if she hadn't given away all the cans of cranberry sauce I bought on sale over the holidays.

I can't imagine how an adult saying that to a 3 yr old is ok, playful or not. I'm glad you said something.
Putting up with house showings and open houses when I really don't give a damn if my asshole landlord sells this house is a pain in my ass, especially since we have a lease until Sept 1.
Doing the house buying shit at the same time may lead me to drink more.

I agree, not okay. Let's just say he isn't the brightest tool.
