So, currently on CD 58 over here with no AF in sight and not KU.
I generally do have very long cycles since stopping BC in July. (51,39,46, and now 58+ days respectively).
Has anyone experienced this? I think general consensus is to call doc past 60 day cycle, but since I've been on BC for 17 years with the last 6 or so years on extended cycle BC, I just feel like the answer will be that it can take a while for cycles to regulate after stopping BC. But DAMN I was not anticipating it taking this long to regulate!
I was on the pill for about 8 years, when I stopped last year I was having long/irregular periods and also figured it was just my cycle taking time to get back to normal. I did call after a 60+ day cycle, got an appointment in the 70 day range, and ultrasound showed polycystic ovaries. I had not had any other symptoms previously, although I did get worse acne the longer I went without a period after stopping BC. I would call the doc to get it checked out, and to get provera to start your period again. If it's pcos they will probably have other recommendations too.
My cycles range from 30-60+. It sucks it makes TTC difficult to say the least.
My doctor has always said to call in when I hit CD60 and they usually order blood work to see if I have ovulated and if not then I take provera. (I've taken it 6-7x in the last 4 years.)
I had 7+ months of long cycles after going off BC to TTC #1, but they did eventually shorten and regulate on their own. Lots of later RE testing showed no other issues.
Thanks so much numbers for sharing that - you guys all seriously give me so much hope!
I called my GYN today (CD 60) and she basically said lets run blood work and then she's shipping me straight off to an RE. She indicated she would rather not do the let's play around with it for another 6 months, she's hesitant about my age (which she always has been, I'm 34)
I am kind of surprised she didn't want to jump start CD1 and see what happens next month.
I have long cycles and have PCOS. It doesn't hurt to get it checked out. I went like 4 months for 1 cycle and my RE started me on metformin so I finally had a period. It would be a really simple blood test to figure out if PCOS is an issue.

I'm dying at 34 being an age issue. I must be ancient to her pushing 36
And the long cycles suck. I hope you can find an easy solution!
