Good luck! Asking for a W-2 is so weird to me. Tuition based upon what you make? I have never heard of that. I hope you find a school that you feel better about!

Where do you live? I'm wondering if the preschool 'culture' is somehow different for you than the majority of the country (thinking like NYC), because you've used the phrase 'apply' at a preschool as if it's something that's not a given...around here, if there are spots and you register, you are in. You have to pay a registration fee (and sometimes first month's tuition). And at registration, you know right then if there are spots and what tuition is. Some schools around here are a little crazy as in registration opens at midnight and people wait up and register immediately in order to get a spot, otherwise all spots are taken and you get put on a wait list, but there are plenty of other options if you don't get a spot.

But maybe things are different if you live somewhere where preschool is super competitive?
