So far I'm impressed with the first book. I'm leaving for OR tomorrow morning and I'm half way through the book. I think I'm going to take the second book with me too because I have a feeling I'll be riveted during my trip.

Ohh yay, someone new to chat with about them! I just read the first one, and I am 30% through the second. I LOVED the first one, and then was traumatized at the end, but I can't quit.
There are a bunch of good old posts on the book board that you can search, but don't read them yet unless you want spoilers.

Eight books and still things don't get tied up? Shoot me now.
PS. I'm in book 2, and it's been boring. All I have are questions. And I'm afraid to read more and be traumatized, but I need to find out the answers!
Yeah book 2 is a bit draggy if you don't enjoy the in depth stuff BUT book 3 (voyager) makes up for it in spades and is probably my fave of the series.

What's really cool for me is I have a great-great-great-great-great grandfather who was a Highlander soldier. I can't remember his first name but his last name was Jamieson. That's DS2's middle name. I'm very proud of my Scot roots : )

I've started book 8 last year and stopped at 50% because I had a lot of stuff going on. I'm going to start from page 1 again next week. I'm also impatient to see series 2!!

Yeah, I didn't give a shit about all the politics and French court stuff. Three is SO much better.
