She will be groggy. Ask for the pain relief and take some home just because you'd want it if it were you. And keep her quiet for a few days and make sure she isn't licking her incision.
Totally normal to be nervous! Do you know if they're doing a laser or the traditional way? For Lucy, they used a laser. It was less invasive and less recovery time. The worst part was keeping her in the cone.
She's adorable! Is she going to have stitches or staples? My last one had staples, she was in a cone for days. It was hard, especially in her crate with the cone and keeping her from jumping on the bed. We bought a soft cone but didn't end up using it because when we took off the regular cone, she wasn't messing at all with her staples. You'll have to keep her on a leash outside for a while, so she doesn't go crazy and chase a squirrel or something.
