Amazing... well, not shocking- but still, digusting how MSNBC tries to make the GOP look like it's full of white racists.
Someone asked on my local board today, "why is politics so polarizing these days?"... and my answer = the media has a huge role to play - this is a great example.
But really - what network did you watch it on last night? We were watching Fox News (of course... though I do switch between CNN, MSNBC, etc- to hear all 'sides') - and I was the one who saw the black man in a cowboy hat, lol. I'm guessing you would NOT have seen him on the other networks
We've already had multiple discussions on how even the "liberal media" isn't picking up the stories of people shouting racist things during the convention like you'd think they would. The word still eventually gets out but it's not a big focus. I'm sorta loling at "tries to make" - they are doing a good job of making themselves look bad (the individuals, not the whole group, obvs. )
Wait, why does Nikki Haley not count as a minority?
I don't have cable, but all the networks cut some speeches, right? I've never heard of most of the people MSNBC cut, so I'm not sure I buy that the cut the speeches to portray the RNC as racist rather than cutting for time or commentary or because these weren't big name people.
MSNBC. They cant show every.single.speech, but I didn't think they were cutting minorities to make the RNC look racist. They wanted to show the speakers that people want to see.
And IMO, every time someone says "they just want to make _________ look racist" screams guilty conscience to me.
And IMO, every time someone says "they just want to make _________ look racist" screams guilty conscience to me.
that is simply the most silly belief. So I suppose we can never say it... b/c if we do then we MUST be racist... yeah, that's it. You've got it all figured out. I'm a racist. Yup.
I watched quite a few minorities speak on Fox... they managed to fit everyone into the schedule... but MSNBC needs to cut for time???
