I am kind of stressing about what to wear on our upcoming trip (in April). I was trying to find a "going out" outfit for a concert last night and came to the conclusion I have sundresses for summer and work clothes. Not much else.
The first caveat: I am plus size and don't want anything too short/too tight. Second caveat: I need things that are affordable and not crazy expensive.
I have casual clothes for bumming around during the day, and some of the time will be spent hiking outside Vegas anyway, and some time will be spent sitting by the pool.
But I am needing outfits for going out at night. Things like nice dinners, seeing a show (Absinthe) and going out to bars and cocktail rooms. We are not doing night clubs, but places like Chandelier Bar, Rose. Rabbit. Lie., a couple places downtown like Commonwealth, etc. We may go dancing at a place like Carnival Court at Harrah's. I would like to wear nice flats if possible because I can't hang dancing in heels all night.
What types of dress/outfits would you buy for these situations? At what kind of places should I shop?
What about a pair of black faux leather leggings? I feel like those would meet your comfort level based on how you described what you have. And they could be dressed up or down with the right does and accessories.

Definitely get a pair of faux leather leggings. Believe it not, Spanx makes a pair that are great, although I'm not sure if they come in plus size. They go with everything and are so chic.
Check Torrid. I wore this dress to a show, but it was Dillard's clearance so I can't provide a link. I also had a black sequin skirt and black moto jacket.
I didn't think about the faux leather leggings. Those could be comfy. I saw some cute dresses online at Torrid so maybe I will a visit a store and see what they have on sale. All black sounds good.

OK so I found this one on Rent the Runway. Have never used that site before, and it makes me a bit nervous that I might pay to use a dress that doesn't fit, but it might be a good option for vacation.
It only goes up to 22 and I'm a 22/24 (depends on the individual item). But some reviews are saying it runs large, so I am hoping it'd be OK. What do you think of something like this?
