Yes, but I had a very severe abscess which is not the norm, but be careful with cracked nipples. My dd was only 5 weeks when it occurred and after mastitis after mastitis while being misdiagnosed it was a different situation.
So, my clogged duct was so huge you could see it throught a shirt. I went to the ER. They aspirated it first under an ultrasound. It wasn't too horrible honestly. From that I was immediately put into surgery as my infection was so severe.
Prior to that, I tried everything. Everything. I should have seeked outhe the ER earlier so if it doesn't get better I really recommend going to the ER. They can get everything diagnostic done there. Feel better!
Well, it's still clogged and tender. It's not as bad I guess, but I'm going to try to see my midwife later today. Of course there's no school and I have all the kids, so that'll be tough. Blah.

I'm so sorry. Mastitis is the absolute worst!! I got a clogged duct when DD was like 15 months after being good for like the previous 8 months, but I was able to clear it with heat, massage and feeding/pumping.
