Dumb question here but what's the best way to label ds' clothes for daycare? Stuff with tags, I just use a black pen. But tag less stuff I can't figure out. Would a fine sharpie be best?? I really need to get on this because his stuff keeps ending up in lost and found and it's my fault because they told us to label everything. Any tips/tricks would be appreciated! TIA
Mabel's labels! Best thing ever for labeling. We used the mini ones to label bottles with our last name. They held up and went through the dishwasher tons of times.

Would they work for clothes too you think? Off to google! Thanks!

I stick a piece of masking tape with the name written on it on my kids' stuff, but that's mostly because I resell almost everything so I hate it to be permanent.

By everything do you mean all outerwear? Or like every tshirt and sweatshirt he might wear to daycare? I resell things too and my other kids get handmedowns, I am not about to mark item they wear. I'd do initials very discretely on a cuff or something if I had to, but seriously that's so time consuming unless you limit the daycare wardrobe.

Daycare requires that we label everything, not just out wear so that's why I had been putting it off! Tops, bottoms, underwear, everything. Oy! He's starting his new school March 1 so I am finally doing it right.

Ok I'd be seriously limiting the daycare wardrobe. 7 shirts, 7 pants assume I wash midweek and be done. Solid colors from target. No joke. That would drive me batty.

Thanks for understanding why I kept putting it off also ds has a big wardrobe so now I'm going to have to make a daycare wardrobe like you suggested.

That's a huge bummer. I only buy my kids clothes I like and I'd be sad if I didn't get to see them in them Of course, being that I have girls they'd probably love it if I asked them to change after doc each day! Is it possible to view this as a good thing and encourage independence? Select clothes he likes, and can put on himself. It will make the routine easier.
