I find myself inordinately sad about this. To Kill A Mockingbird remains one of my favorite all time books and had such an impact on me when I was younger. I believe it played a huge role in making me a life long reader.
I'm also sad that I can't share this news with anyone at my workplace, because if, and it's not unlikely, I hear "Who?" I will truly throw up.

My mom texted me with the news this morning.
I feel bad, but I always feel that now she will have the peace she always seemed to want. And that's the most you can hope for anyone, that they fond their own peace.
But I am sad. I may watch To Kill a Mockingbird this weekend when DH is not around. He has never read nor seen it. So he's wondering if he should read Go Set a Watchman first and have an truly objective view of it.

The danger is that he won't want to read To Kill a Mockingbird afterwards. And that would be a shame.
I'm sorry for Harper and her loved ones, but I hope she rests in peace.
