TAMPA, Fla. — Will Republicans take a page out of one of the most liberal, progressive music festivals of all time? That’s part of the buzz Fox News started when it speculating about the mystery speaker on the schedule for the last night of the Republican National Convention. Fox has confirmed that a surprise speaker will fill a “To Be Announced” slot on the time sheet Thursday night, tucked between a performance by singer Taylor Hicks and a speech by Florida GOP Sen. Marco Rubio. Fox is now reporting that the most likely suitor for that spot is Hollywood mogul Clint Eastwood. That is after Fox News backed away from what seemed like a more serious statement that the speaker could be a hologram of Ronald Reagan. The news organization is now attributing that bit of speculation to Matt Kenney, a staffer for Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who they say suggested the idea of a Ronald Reagan hologram “playfully.” The idea of resurrecting popular figures of the past on a big screen among the living was first put into practice this summer by the Coachella Music Festival in California. Rapper Snoop Dogg performed convincingly with a hologram of Tupac, who was gunned down during his rapping prime in Las Vegas in 1996. Other ideas as to who might be the mystery Republican speaker tonight? Yes, Denver, Fox speculated Tim Tebow is among the potential candidates.
HW and W were both featured on the big screen and made some remarks remotely, from what I saw in this morning's highlights. So I'm guessing it's probably not going to be either one of them.

Ok, I do have an honest question. Why would they do this (and hype it) the same night as the nominee's speech? Shouldn't Romney's speech be the highlight? Why drown him out with all of this?
Can we all mock the GOP for being "hollywood" if they use Clint? Also, I would be disappoint. I like Clint. I know he believes in the exact opposite to me but I have always been able to pus that aside lol.
