Has anyone had to use one for their LO? I was just written a script for my 7 month old for his cold that he just can't shake. Just wondering what it all entails...
not my LO, but i used one many many times as a child and in the nicu as an rn. Like @mama2b, said..they are usually easy to set up and care for. Some kids hate the mask near their face. it doesn't have to be perfectly on...just hold them for the 10-20 minutes and know that usually they can make a child jittery or make it hard to sleep. (although some kids fall asleep REALLY well because their lungs can finally relax!) GL. you can so do it

My kids hated in until they were about 2 1/2 and I do mean screamed bloody murder, dh had to do it because they had to be pinned down, hated it. Good news was they sucked in tons of air during the treatment and got lots of meds. Bonus, they were exhausted. Now dd2 will hold it herself and takes it like a champ. We tried scented lip balm on it to give it an appealing smell, read crank up music, we sing, read books, play videos, whatever it took to make it manageable. It's super easy to use, and I'm thrilled we have it. All my kids have been told to use it. We get respiratory stuff here way too much and none of them handles it well.
We have one after DD's stint in children's last winter. It's pretty easy to use. She hates it though so we bribe her with a chocolate chip and let her watch Daniel tiger while she does it.
Maintenance is super easy, they told us not to wash it with soap, just rinse with water if necessary.
