It seems like many of us are having a difficult time lately. As part of today's randoms, try to include an AW *for yourself*. Everybody has something to be proud of.
Mine is that I finally feel like my life is getting itself back together. Between the new job, new clothes, and the fact that I finally found a doctor to listen to me about this mystery weight gain, I am so pleased with current progress. I've even lost close to 10 pounds in the last couple weeks!
And for my random: this morning when my alarm went off, I went to go shut it off and somehow managed to scare both cats off the end of the bed. Squirrel jumped down but missed the rug and instead his momentum made him skid sideways until he ran into the door frame. I was so tired, but I laughed and laughed and laughed.

Awesome! Sorry I have been MIA for a while, but what happened with the doctor? I feel like I can't lose any weight lately :-(
We are going to start getting our house ready....we are thinking about moving in 6-12months. So to make it easier, we are going to start on the final house projects and then start decluttering and getting rid of things we don't need.
I got my period today. (wilted) Maybe I should go on birth control if this is going to start happening every month. I mean DH has crappy sperm but it only takes one, right? If we have a third I will never be able to afford a new kitchen.
And I'm having closet anxiety. I keep seeing so many "before" pictures that look like my desired plans so now I'm doubting myself. I think I'll just go and buy this system or similar even though I said I didn't want any shelves:

@notquiteblushing, i bought one very similar from HD in my old house and I loved it. The shelves were a great spot to put folded jeans/pants/sweaters, etc.

Remember I was gaining weight like a mofo with no reasonable explanation and that my PCP sent me to, essentially, fat camp? Well, I finally got fed up with trying different things and self-determined that there was something wrong with me medically, so I made an appointment with an endo. He ran a bunch of tests and determined that I have a non-standard presentation of insulin resistance (not diabetes) and prescribed Metformin. Other than the disgusting taste in my mouth all the time, it's been helpful so far. I'm really appreciative that he took the time to get me a diagnosis instead of passing me off as "just another fat girl looking for a miracle pill" which was totally possible.

Thanks. I was doubtful because we spent a ton on a California Closet for our linen closet and all the shelves are a mess. My plan was to hang up all clothes that can be hung and put everything else in the dressers. But maybe I'm not being realistic and those organizers look really nice too. I'm gonna think on it some more and hopefully decide by this weekend.

I took metformin for my pcos/IR. It's really hard on me, gastro wise. Take it will food and limit the carbs if you have issues. But, hopefully you will be fine (lots of people are fine w/it)! GL!
mrs.jacinthe, I'm so glad you finally have a diagnosis and found a doctor willing to listen
I'm excited that I have tomorrow off, despite being out sick Monday and Tuesday. I'm feeling a little guilty about it, but am so thankful that I can continue to rest and work on my neck this weekend.

It's a partial AW but here goes: The painted bathroom is almost finished. I just need to get behind the toilet which won't happen until we buy a new one to replace it...maybe be a few more weeks. We also need to buy 3 new white outlets, a shower curtain, and new towels...but they will come eventually. Until then, I'm starting to paint the master this weekend.
Random- We had some really bad rain and t-storms late last night so we were up for 2 hours making sure the basement didn't flood again..luckily not, but the wind was so bad it was scary to listen to for those few hours...I'm exhausted today, but at least the house is still standing!
