I'm annoyed, maybe over reacting? But Halloweens soon and I am looking for outfits for some kids in my family. Well my one family member doesn't allow the kids to go trick or treating. Their older child has a child and is taking him out with us. So her little sister is all like I can't go with you guys because your loving Satan, it's his holiday. Seriously wtf? Did anybody else not celebrate and why? I'm not saying people need to go out, it's not that serious but to have your child saying in celebrating Satan.. Get the fuck outta here.

I'm Jewish too lol so I get it. All my stuff was thrown together but we still celebrated. And honestly I can see 'real Jews'. It going but we are just kinda jew-ish lol

Well for the Catholics it is all souls day, November 1 is all saints day and a holy day of obligation. If you're pagan it's Samhain. It's no big deal in my world
I love the fall. I love decorating with pumpkins, leaves, corn stalks, hay. I don't like Halloween because I don't like the idea of trick or treating. I actually hate it. I do it but I hate it. When DD was in K, I scheduled our Disney trip to fall during Halloween so we could avoid it. The year before, she really wasn't into it. Last year we went to my sister's house and ToT'ed there so we both could commiserate together and drink wine while we walked.

The Mickeys not so scary Halloween thing? Did you do that? Or just Disney? I missing it by a day this year, maybe next year.

yes! We did that right on Halloween. It was great! DD loved it and there were so many characters. The parade is awesome. I highly recommend it. We are going back for the 2nd time this year in December and I am hoping to get to the Christmas party but may not have time. This is only a 5 night trip and we arrive late on the first night.

Do you know how much extra is was? I'm sure I can look it up but I'm being lazy. Maybe next year I'll def have to do that. I would love a Mickey Halloween!
Halloween has always just been a day to get free candy! I'm down with that. My church throws this huge fall festival, it's a lot of fun. Bounce houses, pony rides, face painting. Just a fun time for kids.
I don't like teenagers who rove in packs in scary costumes creeping kids out. I will no be held accountable if I slug one for pestering me or my kid.

I loved Halloween as a kid and I still do! My mom always made us great costumes and did amazing makeup. Now when I dress up I still really get into it. A couple of years ago when I was a dark fairy I even had my makeup done professionally.
I love Halloween more than life itself...okay, maybe not that much but I llooovveeee iitttt!! I dress up every year and have for ever. I'm all sad pouty face that I have to miss it this year since I have a friend getting married that weekend. We've actually talked about showing up to her reception as zombies!
