Its Friday!
DD is moving up to the toddler room on Monday, I can't believe how old she's getting!
Quick question...I need to bring a sheet and a blanket for nap time (they sleep on cots). Any idea what type of sheet? Crib, twin, fitted, flat? I'm putting too much thought into this.
I'm excited, I leave for a conference tomorrow in Phoenix, heres to 4 days of heat and sun

E was a dream today getting ready for school. So much better than last week.
Also, yesterday she said something about wanting to stay home with me and again this morning she said something about "Mommy and E day?" Pull at the heart strings kid. I told her that once we were in the new house I would plan a fun mommy and E day. It didn't help that I basically only saw her for 30 mins yesterday evening b/c I stayed late at work.
I woke up early because the link for summer school registration was supposed to open at 7am but the link was sent at 6:30. Kind of a nice surprise! Hopefully they don't go back and say it doesn't count or something.
We are watching Sound of Music now, per DD's request. I love this child.
Poor DS is so sad with the flu. He keeps coughing and whining But, at least the Magna-Tiles we got him for his birthday yesterday are a big hit. He took them to bed with him (LOL) and has been playing with them all morning.
Happy Friday! DH is back and we're ready for the weekend!
On a less positive note, DD has her first two teeth, and she started biting me this morning. She thinks it's super funny. How do I make her stop?
Say no, firmly, looking her in the eye. Then redirect. At that age there's not much. P's been biting a lot but she's also gotten teeth 4-9 in the last few weeks.

I'll try that next time. I think she laughs at my surprised/pain face, which is hard to avoid, her teeth are really sharp.

I fell down ~4 steps this am. Second time in like 2 weeks. I'm at my ob's office for my a/s today anyways but ugh. I'm not using our back stairs anymore. H was super frustrated because it scared him but it's not like I did it on purpose. Not a fun way to start a day that's supposed to be so fun. :/
Our flight home leaves at 4:15, which means we have to be at the airport by at least 2, which means we have a real Sophie's choice between running V ragged + hope for an early nap, or let him veg out + hope he makes it to boarding (3:35). Any advice?
With all the screen time he's gotten this week, V has figured out how to use the app switcher on the tablet, so I guess it's time to lock it down.
I'm glad it's Friday. It's been a rough week with me and DD being sick. She seems to be doing better this morning though. I still have a pretty bad cough and am losing my voice.
Ds2 had been putting himself to sleep in the crib at night and in the swing for naps. Today is the first day I'm moving him to his crib for naps and hope it goes well!
I tried taking a shower while letting the kids watch tv. It lasted 7 minutes, the first three of which was me waiting for the water to get hot. Chase then stood outside the shower and cried well I finished up. He then cried the whole time I was blow drying my hair. Sometimes I get so frustrated by the little things in life, like my husband's ability to take a shower whenever he wants.
We finally got settled around 3:30 am in our room at the hospital. So...not much sleep was had.
H had to go in to work for a bit but is going to relieve me soon so I can go home and nap/shower. They're keeping him another night at make sure he rehydrates okay.

Ugh, that is tough. I know you said your H works a lot. Are you able to ever get a little time to yourself? If he is home this weekend to watch the kids, take the longest shower possible in peace if you can
Today is the first day sans my awesome employee (she's moving and left this morning). She was SO good at the details, and I am admittedly, not.
Now, I have to hire two new employees. I think interviewing candidates might be worse than interviewing for the job.
AT LEAST IT'S FRIDAY!
Good luck!! I've helped interview a lot of people for another department. There was one guy that we hired that I had gotten a squicky/jerk vibe from him. But his answers were good and credentials were there. Having worked with him a bit, he can be so sketchy and difficult (e.g., asking counsel not to put things in writing). I still sort of regret giving the green light. So I guess the moral is, trust your gut to some extent!
