So remember the secretary at work and her kid got lice? And I was joking with you guys about scratching my invisible lice?
Ok, well before I mislead, I don't have lice. BUT said coworker and her kid have had no less than 5 more rounds of lice over the past nearly 2 months. WTAF?!
So today I finally ask her if maybe the store stuff isn't working? And she tells me she doesn't want to use store stuff because of chemicals. So then she tells me all her treatments have been by some lady in town at 85 bucks a pop who basically combs them out and throws some oil on their hair.
Maybe I am overreacting but isn't the responsible thing to do if the all natural tactic doesn't work after like 5 times to go to the fucking store and buy the shampoo?! Keep in mind she has been sending her kid to school. I really like her, I do, but I'm mad for the other parents and now nervous because I had already invited her to ds' bday and don't want anyone to get lice.
Sooo she told me that I gave her the push she needed and will buy actual store shampoo for lice and use it this weekend. Hope she does it and gets rid of it. Otherwise, I might have to suggest they skip the party since it would just be totally irresponsible of me to have like 20 kids and that risk

This sounds so awful. After the hell I've been going through trying to get rid of fleas the past couple weeks (and feeling like the grossest, filthiest person ever because of it), I think I might just curl up and die if we got lice.
Maybe the problem isn't the natural place. Maybe she isn't washing bedding and all the other stuff you have to do to make sure you aren't reinfecting yourself. Either way its really gross and I can't believe she keeps sending her kid to school
