What kind of vacations do you take? Where do you want to go?
For our honeymoon we did tourist stuff (San Antonio) and we have done Vegas once. We also like to get a cabin in the woods and do some fishing, hiking, exploring, and whatnot. I would love to plan a vacation this year but have no idea where to go.
This is all dependent on tax refund money. We are going to gather stuff this week so we can get it to the accountant.

As a kid we always went somewhere warm in Jan (Florida, California or Hawaii) then visited family on the east coast in the summer and did sight seeing also out there (Philly, DC, Baltimore, one trip we went to Boston, NYC, Niagara Falls, and some other places).
H and I usually do camping trips or road trips. The camping trips have been a few places around MN. Duluth is nice, and last summer we went up to Thunder Bay, Canada. We went to Puerto Rico on our honeymoon which was amazing!
For vacations, I really like to sight see. I like relaxing on the beach but not all day. I like to see everything I can! If money were no object, I'd love to go to Ireland, Australia or Greece. For a US trip I really want to go to Maine, the PNW, and Alaska someday. Maybe in the next few years
Unfortunately, we don't take vacations because of my health issues. We did take a trip for our first wedding anniversary and spent the weekend at an Inn, but we've never vacationed outside of the state we live in.
One of my goals in life is to get healthy enough to be able to travel again. I traveled a lot before I got sick, and I miss it like crazy. My dream is to take H to the east coast to meet my family. Other than that, my top three vacation spots would be Germany, Ireland, and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Our ideal vacations shift depending on what our real life is like. In our stressful DC lives we were thrilled to chill on the beach. Now with a toddler we wanted to go walk as much as possible without him slowing us down and eat at quiet, sit down restaurants.

We do a variety of camping, road trip to see friends or family, and vacations as just our family. Things we have done: Kauai for our honeymoon, road trips to Lake Tahoe, Central Coast with multiple city stays and exploring, Vegas, many trips to the river, Palm Springs. Things in would love to do: Colorado, Oregon, Idaho, Grand Canyon, Texas (these are near future trips)...Alaskan cruise, all inclusive Mexican vacation, Australia, East Coast are all years away but on our list. We actually wanted to do something like Cancun this year for our 5th anniversary but it's not happening...I doubt we'll get to do anything this year and I'm pretty bummed about that.

I like lazy tropical vacations where I try to get as tan as possible and drink pins coladas. Unfortunately those days are in the past for now. We live in FL so DH thinks they're silly. And w the kids I can't just lay there and drink
We do adventure trips now, either big cities or nature trips. This summer we are renting a cabin in TN and going to the smokey mountains, rafting etc. we are going to drive and spend a day in Atlanta at the aquarium. we've done Chicago, DC, Grand Canyon, San Fran/Napa, Asheville...
I like relaxing vacations. H is a planner and likes to plan everything we do.
I love cruises. I love that I'm disconnected from everything because we refuse to pay to use the Internet. We lock our phones in the safe and they don't come out until we disembark. It forces us to have conversations with each other and other people.
We are hoping to go to Key West in December this year. I hope we can go!
