I mean..."hate" is a strong word but I don't have patience for long drawn out fantasy games and I have terrible hand eye coordination. I liked Super Mario Brothers back in the day but Sonic the Hedgehog was sensory overload for me. I briefly got into Rock Band but I kept giving myself blisters on the guitar.
Anyway my husband bought us a Playstation 4. Are there any games I will enjoy?

I've played all the Lego games. They are a lot of fun. Minecraft could be an option as well. Diablo was fun. It doesn't meet your requirement of not being a fantasy game, but it was really more like Super Mario. Easy concept, very forgiving system for aiming, can't fall off ledges, etc. Bonus points for being a 2 player game, so you could play with your H. You might surprise yourself and enjoy Skyrim as well. It's easy to get really into the other aspects of the game that's not fighting (crafting, potions, etc.). We also really like Rayman Legends.
OK...that's just what I use the playstation for. LOL.
I actually do like Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution. We also have all of the old school Mario games on Wii, I think. Maybe they make them for Playstion also?
I like the lego games too and some of the sport ones are fun. DH has the Star Wars game and it's not too horrible. I don't know if you'd consider that one violent. Of course the light sabers are killing, but there's no blood or anything. Plus, Chewbacca pulls people's arms off!
I just bought Lego Jurassic Park for my H for Valentine's day, so we could play together and it's pretty fun! I'm not a gamer at all. When I was checking out the best games for couples, Lego and Diablo came up most frequently.
Yeah, Lego games are fun. I also have historically enjoyed the Lara Croft/Tombraider games - they seem to be a decent balance of action and puzzles. I don't do well when it's just a lot of shooting, I freak out and die.
