Does anyone know when there will be a decision regarding the Texas abortion case? I've been googling, but I'm so angry about the commentary on this that I can't see straight.

Today. Scotusblog has a really good argument recap.
Off to read, though I know it won't be good for my blood pressure.
Nah. There's not much that objectionable. Apparently there was some questioning about whether ghee is evidence in the record that x number of facilities closed because of the law. I think it's going to be 5-3.

Striking it down?
I'm optimistic that Kennedy gets this one right but I haven't read any argument recaps yet.

Yeah. I think Kennedy will get it right this time.

Thanks for the recommendation, StrawberryBlondie. That was a good read. I have maybe a little more hope after reading it that Kennedy will do the right thing.

No problem.
I love Nina Totenberg (also recommended here) but I usually like scotusblog's argument recaps better than hers.

Then it’s Kagan who moves in. Calmly, poker-faced, she asks Keller: “You said that as the law is now … Texas is allowed to set much, much higher medical standards, whether it has to do with the personnel or procedures or the facilities themselves, higher medical standards … for abortion facilities than for facilities that do any other kind of medical work, even much more risky medical work? Am I right?” Keller agrees. Then Kagan asks: “And I guess I just want to know, why would Texas do that?” The room erupts. Keller says complications. Kagan says that liposuction actually has greater complications. Keller says Kermit Gosnell. Kagan says nothing that happened in the Gosnell case could have occurred under Texas’ pre-existing regulations. Sotomayor says colonoscopies have more complications. Finally, Keller says, “But legislatures react to topics that are of public concern.” And that is what matters. Not women’s health. Politics.
Kagan forces him to admit it's not about health. It's about restricting abortion. She is awesome. AWESOME!
I love this line from the Slate article, not because it's pretty misogynist but because I was thinking, "Fuck, yes!" when I was imagining the female justices banding together to wear down some of their colleagues.
"One senses that the chief justice, two weeks into this new post-Scalia era, is worn out just trying to keep the women at bay."
