I love country. And I love rock. I don't love pop, but I will listen to it. I hate heavy metal and rap, but there are even a few of those I will listen to.

I suspect that a hot enough guy could make you listen to Black Sabbath covers of Erasure songs.

I was a sworn country hater for a long time. Then I went through a terrible breakup and it finally started speaking to me. I'm still just a "mainstream" type of country lover but I definitely enjoy more than I ever did.

I love country too, and I used to hate it. I still love all sorts of other music too. What songs or artists did he give you to listen to? Any Zach Brown Band? I think they are good for people like you who aren't totally into country but on the verge

i didn't like country either, but when DH asked me to go see Brad Paisley with him I said ok, and we had a great time...he went to some of my concerts as well and well, let's just say he's soooo not into mosh pitting, and opera isn't his cup of tea either (yeah my tastes are all over the place) but I found i don't hate all country...there are some songs i can't stand but it's growing on me.
(in fact our first dance was God Gave me You) and i think he made me listen to "somethin' 'bout a truck" 5 times in a row last night.

Probably. I've endured heavy metal even recently because a friend was listening to it. And didn't say a word.
I have always liked country music, but I will listen to anything.
I am not a huge fan of heavy Metal but DH does so I listen to it.
FWIW DH hated country music when we started dating. Now I go into his truck and he had the country music on and he claims it is on as he knows I'll be in the truck next. Sure sure. This has happened multiple times in the last 2-3 months. I have also caught him singing along to country when he doesn't know I am watching.
