The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey by Trenton Lee Stewart -- *** Widow's Tears by Susan Wittig Albert -- **** Some Buried Caesar by Rex Stout -- ***** Murder on the Lusitania by Conrad Allen -- re-read/****
Damn, some of you read a lot! I'm always amazed. I've been stuck on the same book for three weeks and I'm only a quarter of the way done. I hate giving up on books, but I may have to.
Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy (audiobook - do these count?): 3 stars
The Color of Magic (Discworld 1): 3 stars
Beyond Belief: My Secret Life I side Scientology and my Harrowing Escape: 4 stars

I'm stuck on God in Ruins. Not a great month.
There are no rules as to what counts. I look at it as it's your record, so it's subject to your rules. I tend not to count children's books, but do count young adult books, novellas, and short stories/collections.
I agree. I am amazed at how much some posters read. But then I remind myself that it's not a contest. And I remember my mother and father reading the same book one after the other one time. It took my mother three days to read the mystery, but it took my Dad over a week. My mother-in-law tells her students that it doesn't matter how much or how fast you read, just that you do read.
Hope you hit a groove with those books or new ones.

if I didn't count audiobooks in 2015 my list would have been cut in half! That's the first year I listened to more than I read (27 out of 49). So, I say yes. I mean, it gets you pretty much the same benefits, right?
Grey Mountain - John Grisham - fine; nothing really special (worst) The Pearl that Broke its Shell - Nadia Hashimi - loved it (best) Throne of Glass - Sarah Mass - fun "short" read (short in quotes because it took me forever due to my schedule)

I think being willing to give up on books helps me to read more. If it's not working for me, I never force myself. There are too many other things I want to read and I get crabby if a book is taking me forever when I'm not enjoying it.

You're right. I just tried to read a bit and I'm so bored and there are still 400 pages left! I'm bummed because I loved Life After Life and heard this one was good too. I have lots of others I'd rather read now. Maybe it's a mood thing. I quit The Poisonwood Bible and people rave about that one. I want to be enthralled, too @bellakitty !

I finished Outlander in February, and then read the next two. I finished the fourth one last week, so that was mostly a February read as well.
This is already more than I read all of last year. I love reading, but I hadn't made the time for it very much. I thought I would be busy with these books for the next two years, but not at this rate! I'm so excited about these for some reason. I have piles of books to get to, and I only read the first outlander bc a friend really talked it up. I'm hooked!
