I just ordered a TYME iron. I've been going back and forth for weeks because of how expensive it is, and I finally decided to just go for it. If it's as magical as it's advertised to be, it will be worth the cost. If not, I can return it. (This is what H has been telling me over and over again as I've been flip-flopping back and forth about ordering it. lol).
I'm so glad it's Friday! I work today, which is so weird since I usually don't work Fridays. After work I plan on a nice glass of red wine, going to make some pasta, then relax. H has been feeling down so I need to figure out something to do this weekend to cheer him up.
I'm so annoyed (FWP) because I was in the process of an online order last night when our power went out for three hours. It finally turned back on after midnight, but then the flash sale was over and they wouldn't acknowledge the promo code.
This morning a high school friend randomly called to catch up and we talked for over two hours. It was a lovely, abnormal way to spend my morning.
HoneySpider That would be amazing for TTH. I WISH!
katespade add me to the eager list of people waiting for your review. They have very prompt customer service it sounds like which bodes well.
I had a doctor's appointment this morning, and later my parents are dropping by. I'll probably make meatloaf for supper. Today is boring, lol.
Pregnancy related H vent: I've been in a really bad place with H lately, and I don't think he realizes it. I feel dumb for complaining, since he is a very involved dad and he does a huge share of work around the house. But the last while I feel so disconnected from him, and I think it's largely because he hasn't been very supportive this pregnancy. With M, he waited on me hand and foot, asked to feel him kick, talked to him, etc. I think he's only felt her kick twice, and it was because I suggested it. The only time he tells/asks me to do something like rest or let him take over a task, he sounds angry, like my pregnancy is annoying him. I don't know what to do, since he hasn't been very receptive to criticism lately, and things will probably go back to normal once she's born. I just feel really alone right now.
((Hugs)) katiek. I'm sorry you guys are struggling. I hope you are able to talk to your DH at some point about what you are feeling. I have heard that guys just forget how demanding pregnancy is the second (or subsequent) pregnancies. Also, I know some women are so busy with kid #1 that they forget they are pregnant and need to rest, etc...I can only imagine that if we are capable of having those feelings how much more likely men are able to feel disconnected as well...it comes across as thoughtless and uncaring but I doubt that's the case. Sucks you are feeling that way though
Just had a great visit with my church mentor friend! Cleaned the kitchen, vacuumed downstairs, unloaded the dishwasher, mopped the floor, and did a load of laundry. Nap time now and then going for a nice walk!
My new team does Chipotle Fridays where someone does the ordering, picking up, and even delivering to my desk! Best thing ever! Hope I don't get sick
Fun! At my job in Oklahoma we'd do this with Panera for breakfast on Fridays and for ice cream on random afternoons. We had student workers we could send and they were always happy to get out of the office - win/win!

I successfully made gluten-free dairy-free crackers! This is the first week in goodness knows how long I can look back and see that I did something useful (besides going to work) every day so I'm feeling pretty confident, which is a rare feeling for me. I took a look at my hair because of the DIY hair thread and realized I need to cut it again. I'm sad because it doesn't seem to have grown at all, just split.
I had to look it up katespade, it seems complicated. But then again, I gave my Mom my straightener because it was too confusing.
Make it happen HoneySpider! We need a new computer and that would help A LOT!
rockinrobyn: Unsolicited advice but I love honey lemon tea/hot water for those kind of days. Hope your sore throat/cough goes away soon!
katiek: I'm sorry you're feeling disconnected. I'm sure it's hard with M running around, YH working, and you being pregnant... I get tired and stressed just imagining it. Definitely try and find a time to talk to him about it. Hopefully he just had no idea that you were feeling this way or that his tone conveyed annoyance.

@opal We need new computers too! In my dream we used some of the $1200 to each buy a new one. And we also bought a microwave, which makes zero sense since we don't need one

Omg we need to do this for ice cream. DQ run!
My last office did this for smoothies. Fridays were the best. We got smoothies after lunch and were sent home an hour early.

Ooh I like the hour early too. But that won't happen with my new job, they are so far behind on work right now, it's insane! I wish I had all my access so I could jump in and help!
