When you apply for jobs, do you ever walk in with a suit on/resume in hand? I've been pounding the pavement that way. It completely blows, but they can at least put a face with a name.

No, most of them have been large corporations. I wouldn't even know where to start. They're the apply online, we'll screen you here type.

I'm sorry you're going through a rough patch. I can sympathize; we moved to a non-awesome location because of my job, and H has been freelancing for a year. It's been very irregular and stressful. This week he had an interview at an amazing company, and I know we will feel crushed if he doesn't get it.

Don't feel dumb or pathetic. And I hope things get better soon.

Don't think that. It is all relative. A rough patch is a rough patch. You have every right to vent about whatever problem you are having. Sometimes, I think like that too, like I shouldn't post things, because other people have it worse, but everyone always makes me feel better.

One thing that sucks is that DH got two offers. The second one came from a company that knew he had already signed a contract with another company, but they wanted to meet him anyway. He thinks he's a rockstar at job hunting.
