I have no idea but I was able to score some SKR shoes on Amazon for a great deal before, so you might want to check there before you make any purchases just in case.
zarapipe because I love you, I just searched through all my old emails to check for sales. Looks like in 2015 there was free shipping on Mother's Day. But the "summer sandal sale" wasn't until mid-June. Nothing in between. I would do a price search on camelcamelcamel but likely go with zappos.

I got the Gloria sandals for $25. That seems like a pretty good deal and I vaguely remember those not really going on sale (or at least less than the sneakers).
Last year I held out for a sale that never came. If she needs them now I'd just buy them.
Soon -- I put her 8s from last year on last night and her toe is riiiiiight at the top. I think they'll work for Easter, but no way they'll last much longer.
I keep holding out for a sale but by the time one comes up his size is always sold out. I just need to order too.
I've started using SKRs website to look at styles, finding the style on Amazon, and putting a price alert on camelcamelcamel in his/her size. I get alerted when the price drops. Easy peasy.

Does Amazon usually mimic the SKR sales?
Sometimes. But Amazon also has shoe sales all the freakin' time. They're usually on random brands, colors, or styles. Ain't nobody got time to keep track of that. So I let camelcamelcamel do it for me.
I use CCC for everything honestly. If it's more than $20, it gets tracked. I just nabbed the huge crane from Thomas, normally $55, for $25. DS has thanked me multiple times every day.
swizz , just a heads up I've bought the white Gloria's for DD twice and that was two times too many. The toe on both of them started flaking off and they looked really worn after less than 5 wears. DD wasn't even hard on them (and still isn't on her shoes!). I thought it was just that first pair so when she sized up mid-summer I bought a second pair and sure enough the exact same thing happened. Really disappointed in them, especially for the money. SKR was no help either which made me even more frustrated.
I just bought a few pairs of SKR for DS for the summer for 25% off from diapers dot com last week. Not sure if the promotion is still ongoing, but I try to wait for that since they do it 2 or 3 times/year.

Oh man, are these huge? I bought her 9s, and they're enormous! I have a pair of saltwater sandals and they're not that big. Her 8 stride rite sandals are definitely going to be too small in a minute (her toes are riiiiight at the top).
Around size 9 or 10 I had to start ordering half sizes. His growth slowed wayyy down and there was a bigger space jump between sizes. You may need an 8.5

Dang. She's been in an 8 since last summer so probably not a huge deal to get half sizes now?
Yeah if she's been in one size for almost a year, and she's almost-but-not-quite outgrown that size, then a full size jump may be too much. And especially with sandals, since they're worn without socks, I don't like to let DS's feet slide around too much. I'd return the 9s and get 8.5 if you can.
