Right now it's pouring down rain, windy and thundering so bad my walls are shaking. It's like a hurricane out there! I'm crossing my fingers DH wakes up before I take DS to school so I can leave DD home. Or maybe I can throw her in bed with him and give her the iPad. I'll only be gone 30 minutes max
The weekend was restful on Saturday since we did nada but then Sunday was busy, we ran to Costco, one of my sil's stopped by with her out of town mil for a visit and after she left, my little sil came over to do jacuzzi and grill with us and my bff who came with her boyfriend.
Our monday started before alarms went off because the thunder and lightning woke us all up and then ds had to go pee pee and the he was hungry and then he wanted to watch a show...and so it goes
We went to a concert Saturday night and stayed downtown. My mom called at 7 on Sunday to tell us DS is sick. He went 24 hours without throwing up, but threw up this morning so I'm home with him now.
Last week before spring break for me. Poetry Slam week (my favorite) in my classroom, then workshop day on Friday, then Saturday louiej and I leave for Wisconsin DElls! SO EXCITED.

This is the last week of DH's coaching season. He coaches from mid august through mid march and it's rough. Several morning practices a week, every day after school and at least one meet during the week and also often on Saturdays. He does do some coaching during the summer but no where near the commitment during the school year- and being a teacher he has the summer off from teaching. I give a lot of credit to women or men that have spouses who travel or work long hours. I realize in the large scheme of things I am lucky, but I am so excited for him to be home earlier and free to do fun stuff on the weekends.
My weekend wasn't too exciting. I had dinner with a friend this weekend. Cleaned house, caught up on grading, and organized my closet on Saturday. Went to church and lunch with friends on Sunday then hung out at home watching TV and finishing my book for book club.
I have nothing exciting this week other than book club meeting tomorrow night. Tonight I have to sit through 4 hours of a parenting class required by the court for divorcing parents. I'm not looking forward to that.

This weekend was fine. Nothing too exciting. DH took charge of the kids for most of it, so I worked in the garden, cleaned out the laundry/pantry area of the basement, and got a bunch of sewing done.
This morning started with an epic fit from DD - complete with hitting, kicking, and scratching - so DS and I recuperated with donuts after dropping her off at school. DH is OOT tonight, so I'm hoping DD has got herself together by the time I pick her up. The rest of the week should be okay - tentative plans for dinner with a friend, quilt guild small group, and a school dance party.

Dh worked all weekend..it was OK. Today after DS wakes we are heading to the park. Having a picnic dinner there. It's supposed to rain all week so we are going to get outside while we still can. Although, it's super windy...so I'm not sure how that will go. The rest of the week I will just be focusing on keeping the house clean and laundry done. We are having ds Birthday party here on Sunday. Oh, and Friday night I'm picking up my niece and she's staying with us until Sunday. Got to fit in working out at least 4 times and maybe getting my hair done. Busy busy.
