I find myself wondering at the fact that today Bloomberg said he won't run and Romney said he would accept the nomination if he got it in a brokered convention. Interesting that both things were announced today. I wonder if Romney's announcement factored at all.

I'm not crazy about either of these men dangling potential candidacies without having to hustle this entire time like the rest of the candidates. It seems, I don't know, cheap? Or something.

Considering how the debates have gone thus far, I'm pretty meh about this possibility.

I'm relieved Bloomberg is out.
I think Romney just can't shake the idea that he's destined to be president, but he's just as out of touch with the crazy republican base as the GOP elders (who, again, created the crazy to begin with). I really think if the GOP selects Romney at the last minute, Trump will run as an independent and split the vote.

I am the opposite. I personally hate how long and drawn out the process is, the wasted money on all of the campaigning and events. Wouldn't it be ironic if someone who wasn't a part of that at all got the nom?

I might agree with you if everyone running was held to a shorter campaign period. It just seems dick to drop your ass in the middle of proceedings when everyone else has been fighting tooth and nail.
