Looking into booking a very last minute trip (less than two weeks), and would like to save money by staying off property. We've been twice before, and have stayed on property, so I know all the perks of a Disney resort. However, it's expensive because of spring break. Anyone ever stay at a decent hotel off property? I'm looking for hotels that offer a shuttle. Tia!

We had a rental car and stayed at a condo through vrbo. The complex was called Blue Heron. It was across the street from the Sheraton Vistana, which I've also heard good things about.
We stayed at a townhome/villa through Villas Direct. I was mostly happy with it - clean, spacious, pool, etc. I just had a problem with the pool alarm not working. If we went again, I would use them.
We've stayed at the Sheraton Vistana Resort (pretty close), Marrriott Harbor Lake (closer to sea world but great kids pools) and are trying Wyndham Bonnet Creek (booked through homeaway, much cheaper) next trip. It's actually on Disney property but not a Disney resort. Still going to rent a car though. They have a shuttle for a fee.

We stayed at the Sheraton Vistana in November. It's a really nice resort and the shuttles were free. If you get a rental car you will have to pay for parking, which is $20/day.

I've stayed at the Sheraton Vistana, Marriott World Center and some random timeshare out in Kissimmee.
We didn't use the shuttle service at the Sheraton b/c my maingate pass gave me free parking at the parks so we opted to drive each day. The property was nice but it is a bit spread out.
The Marriott used to charge for the park shuttle but you would have to double check to see if they still do.
