How often do you change your makeup routine?

Do you basically do it the same way every day or mix it up all the time? Some staples and some things you experiment with?

I don't wear much makeup every day... usually it's just cover up under my eyes and occasional mascara. When I actually do makeup it's pretty much just some eye shadow, mascara, and maybe some eye liner and blush but not as often.

I am just now learning how to wait makeup daily, so I've been sticking to the handful of products I can semi-consistently apply: foundation, eyeliner, mascara. Once I get more comfortable with wearing makeup on a regular basis, I might start experimenting. Haha.

I've been doing the same thing for about 8 years. Lol. I have my normal, limited makeup face and a second "special event" routine for weddings or maybe a date.

I was just telling my friend how I wish I was more creative. She switches hers up constantly.

Ditto this.  I can't even remember the last time I wore makeup (maybe my brother's wedding almost 2 years ago?).  I used to wear it more but DH isn't really a fan (and neither am I) so why bother.  We have a wedding in a couple months I will likely do light makeup for.  Always the same routine and colors though.

I wear makeup every day...eyeliner, shadows, the works...I try for more shadow and false lashes for special occasions.

This exactly. In fact, I only do eye liner at night. This week one of my friends asked me "why do you only where liner at night, it looks so nice?" Ha. Because that's my SUPER FANCY NIGHY ROUTINE.

I do the basic during the week. Foundation, shadow, eyeliner and mascara. If we are going out I'll do a little more.

I feel like I need to watch some tutorials on how to apply makeup. I've gone from black eyeliner to copper eyeliner which I'm digging right now.

Ok, you guys are making me feel better. I was thinking about how I do the same basic routine almost all the time, my big switch up might be a different color eyeshadow or maybe eyeliner if I'm getting really cray. It doesn't bother me to do this though, it's a lot easier to know what I want to put on if I'm in a time crunch.

Like others, I do add a little more if I'm dressed up for a wedding or whatever. I just have a lot of makeup either stuff I stopped using for whatever reason or samples and I feel like I should experiment more. My biggest obstacle is probably the fact that I don't have a lot of room to store stuff, most of my makeup is in a plastic bin on top of my vanity. So it's a lot easier to keep my few regular items out on top instead of digging through the container. I probably should stop being lazy.

I mix it up often. I have several eyeshadow palettes and several eyeliners. A handful of blushes. And entirely too many lip products. I get way too bored to wear the same makeup everyday, and I think it is fun to play with and learn new combinations.

I love my naked 3 palette (I hope I got the number right the one with pinks).

I have played around with it some but generally settle for the same routine/application with minor variations.
