This is the first year we're "doing" Easter so I feel like I'm just figuring it out as I go.
I picked up a basket and some of that "grass". I got a dozen of those hollow eggs. I got a few bags of various chocolate eggs, mini-eggs, and mini bunny-shaped chocolates. And I got a couple of Thomas mini trains.
My plan is to put the various stuff in the eggs, and hide them (inside) after DS goes to bed. Then on Easter morning we'll give him the basket, and he'll go around finding the eggs and putting them in his basket. Then he'll open up all the eggs to see what's inside.
Is that how you're supposed to do Easter? I seriously hope I'm not doing it wrong...?
A couple of paw patrol toys, 2 books (Magic Treehouse for DS and Who's My Mother? And llama llama For DD), Annie's bunny fruit snacks, and I'm making each a surprise egg wth a paw patrol figure.
I'm trying to go light this year. I'm putting in books (Ivy and Bean book set), an outfit for her AG doll, shrinky dinks, Chapstick, frozen nail polish, and candy. The first few things were leftover from Christmas.
ETA: small Olaf Lego set, too. I just raided what looked fun at the Target seasonal section.

I'm doing stuff they need anyway. Swim suits, towels, goggles for dd2, diving toys for dd1, a sun hat for dd3. Sunscreen and maybe sandals. I'm terrible. I fill the eggs with raisins, stickers and Annie's bunnies.
Oh boy. I haven't started much yet. My dh picked up stuffed animal peeps. I want to get them a set of nerf lazer tag. Their friends have them and they are dying for them. They connect so they'll be able to play 2 on 2. Pretty cool
I also will get some Munson chocolate (local place), and maybe some swim stuff. They both need new goggles and towels.
I do go crazy with eggs. Literally put together about 50 eggs to hide plus the ones we dye. I stick them everywhere. In cabinets, sinks, shoes, drawers. Real ones are very visual. Plastic ones they find for days.
I'm just doing a couple books, a couple pouches, new toothbrushes, and a small toy for each. We don't do eggs that get filled, just hide the ones we dye. I am too lazy to do both. (And I don't really know why I should, honestly)

But...if you hide the real eggs, isn't there a chance you'll forget one?? ? Eta: all those question marks were supposed to be a barfy face

DS found an egg (plastic!) in December I think? He was thrilled. Real eggs always makes me think of that Gilmore girls episode where the whole town stinks from unfounded eggs.

I usually just hide a few little candies in nests, and maybe some cars or mini trains. Their last nest is a bigger one, but I don't go crazy since they're still so little (4 and 2). This year I think I'll do a little bag of gummy candies and a toy. I'm totally not prepared though.

For DS (3.5 years): a stamp book, Melissa and Doug color pages that work w water and can be reused, PJs, and a figurine from Planes For DD (7 months): PJs, bathing suit, book
We also fill 12 eggs with jelly beans, M and Ms and coins for DS to "find."
Growing up, the bunny always hid the real eggs (in the house--we're in Wisconsin), and our baskets. Now, our bunny has switched to hiding plastic eggs with candy, and the baskets. The logistics of the bunny hiding real eggs so that they wouldn't sit out too long got to be complicated. Plus the kids like the candy ones a lot better anyway! We still dye eggs for fun. Baskets have mostly small toys and candy, and spring-y things. Often an Easter/spring book. Stuffed animals, art supplies, jewelry. Hiding the baskets is key over here.
Often later in the day, we get together with family and then we have an outdoor egg hunt if weather is good enough; inside if it's cruddy out.

I want to get her one of those climbing domes for the yard. I don't know how to make it from the bunny, though. Maybe make eggs leading up to it. She needs more outside toys.
Anything big I would make from you, so as not to set a precedent that the bunny brings big presents...unless she's too young to really get it anyway. I.e. Mama and Daddy got you a special toy this year, too, b/c we wanted to have some new outdoor things for summer.

she's 3. We make a big deal out of easter, though, mostly because her birthday is in January so this is the only time she gets outdoor presents. Also, we are OAD so admittedly, she gets spoiled.

We hide eggs outside (a mix of real and plastic).
I haven't even bought her Easter basket or anything for it yet though. My mind is all over the place anymore. I plan to get her a new outfit, coloring book, Easter book, flip flops, goldfish, Annie's snack, and a small chocolate.

The bunny occasionally brought us insane presents because it was an excuse to give us ______. I don't remember expecting something big every year.
We are the opposite. Ns birthday is in less than a month. And G is in may. So we do small Easter "baskets" the basket is always a new plastic sand pail, or bucket of some type that they can play with outside. Then the each got some candy, bubbles, stickers, and a light up bouncy ball? Poor W got a couple new bibs, a ball...and that's it. His needs help.

We are replenishing Reese's art supplies. She spends about 75% of her free time drawing.
But her basket will be bigger this year because a few weeks ago she won a 50 dollar gift card, and I didn't want her to use it all--so she picked out two blind bags. (luckily at her age she had no idea of the value) and we use the rest of it---45 dollars on her Easter basket. So she got a new marker set, crayon set, glitter pens, gel pens.
