I had doughnuts too! Also, police blocked the intersection so Bernie's motorcade could get through traffic without any delay. I was about 15 minutes late to work. I thought it was funny.
MSNBC is broadcasting from my coffee shop all weekend. It's weird. Although they seem to just be giving Trump free airtime instead of talking to the actual journalists and guests here.

You mean he's using the establishment to make his life easier? Shocking.

today is H's birthday so I got him Dunkin Donuts muffins. I'm currently regretting eating the whole chocolate chip muffin. but 17 years together and he's still predictable: he picked the blueberry. thank god for consistency.
I had to be at work at 7 this morning. Does that mean I get to go home at noon? One hour of lost sleep seems like a reasonable exchange for 4 hrs of free time on a Friday afternoon.

Six police officers to block the intersection I was at alone. It was a tad much. Considering where he was and where he was going, I'm sure the happenings at my intersection was repeated multiple times.

Total AW, but a VP from our main office just called me before I got into work. I worried that I was in trouble but instead he was just calling to say I was an excellent writer and he enjoyed reviewing my work. Totally made my day and I'm not even at work yet!

So here's my substitute random - I totally dropped the ball on MH's birthday and he was sad about it. I feel terrible and want to make it up to him, but I don't know how exactly because have exactly ZERO free time. Like...I'm going ot need a weekend after my weekend to catch up from my weekend, and I'm nto going to get it. Work is crazy. CRAZY.

I was in a meeting today that randomly turned to politics, and someone called Kasich a moderate. I said he looks like one, but shutting down women's health clinics isn't really a moderate action. (I also mentioned unions, because that was in my head, but now I don't remember why.)
Someone (who I really like, besides his politics) also said that both sides were driving the race to the extreme and encouraging negativity. Not so much, but I kept my mouth shut on that. I'm pretty sure he's anti-Trump, so that's good.

ugh.
I feel like that these days. I am gone out of town on DH's birthday next week and I know, although he agreed, that it sucks for him and I have to do something to make it up to him.

Yes, either that or you get 2 hours of work time to do online shopping.

My SVP has been sitting on final approval to my SFO trip. Or, he's passed it on to the next person up the food chain and it's languishing.
I'm not pleased. The SFO team is not pleased. The account team is not pleased. My H is not pleased. We can't PLAN anything until I get clearance and book the dates.
I just realized we spring forward on Sunday. The same day as our charity pancake breakfast. I am not a morning person on a normal day. This is going to be a disaster. I think this is a unity horse but I really hate daylight savings time.
ETA: AW and an update to my random from yesterday. House appraisal came back at exactly the number I was hoping to get. Makes me proud of my little money pit.

Equality for all! Unless it means he might be late.
I love this Rachel Duncan (Orphan Black) pop. SHE DESERVED IT!!!
I don't understand how you of all people can think these things are cute. The giant eyes alone creep me the fuck out.
I don't have any because I don't want to watch them splashing around in my blood while I die. I don't even have any Dorbz and they are freaking ADORABLE.
But I adore that they made this one with the pencil in the eye.
ETA: But these guys are MILES better than the Lalaloopsy dolls with the button eyes. Button eyes = immediate immolation.
The dolls are Funko Pops. They make them in all the pop culture things. I saw a Lisa Turtle the other day.
That particular one is from Orphan Black which is a FANTASTIC show about clones on BBC America. The woman who plays all the girl clones is really good at differentiating the characters.
I need these unicorn flats, but I can't even imagine where I'd wear them.
where wouldn't you wear them?? I mean...I'm not gonna show up to a big presentation wearing them, but a random day at the office with my dress pants and a cute top? Yes m'am I will.

Ah. I'm not current on dolls these days. I like her -- she looks like a bobble-head!
I do have a Living Dead Doll though. My name-sake:
